❤️Happy Pride Month, and since it’s that these are the things you can do if you don’t agree with the community instead of being extra hateful. Also remember just because you know someone or have someone in your life that’s in the community doesn’t give you a right to justify your hate or ignorance.

1. Remember that when you’re spewing your excessive hate that someone in your life may be in the closet about being in the community. So while you may have your freedom of speech your freedom of speech may come as a result of someone you love literally unaliving themselves.
2. You could spend your time doing something proactive in the community like volunteering in animal shelters, homeless shelters, food banks. Where it truly matters. Channel that hate elsewhere.
3. You could even truly educate yourself about the community.

This month isn’t about being sexual & sexualizing things, this month is literally about love. The love that we are allowed to have and exhibit. This month is about The progress we have made as a community, as it has not always been like this. The LGBTQIA+ community has always existed, but never openly like it is now. & even now we are hated. Bashed, beaten. Unalived. Even SA’ed. there are countries that don’t allow people to be who they are. This month is a celebration with each other to remind each other that we aren’t alone. This month is to remind our friend still in the closet that it’s okay to be who they are. That we love them just as they are. Blood isn’t always family. This community is your family. We can be your family. This month. Pride month serves as that reminder to all.

There’s a huge misconception that pride month is a celebration about what some does behind closed doors. And it’s not that. It’s just like Christmas for Christian’s isn’t about the presents. And so on and so forth.

This is also your reminder that LGBTQIA parents exsist. Marriages exist. We will hold hands. We will kiss in public. There is an appropriate level just like there is for straight individuals.

Don’t cast the first stone until you reflect on your own self. Stop being worried about what others do.
