This bold and brightly illustrated book tells the story of wash day. This is the perfect story about the process of having your hair washed that any black child with hair will relate to. The process of taking out your braids, washing your hair and having your hair restyled. This is a great book and can be enjoyed by all children but will particularly be ideal for those young children who struggle with the process of wash day.

This book is told from the perspective of the older sister. Not only does this book show diversity but it shows the importance of family and culture through different traditions and dress.
I really enjoyed this book and it would be a fantastic addition to any child’s bookshelf. We live in a diverse world where children are learning that everyone has different cultures and traditions. This is a great book for teaching children not only about their own traditions but also about those of other families. 💜📚

This book is a great adaptation of the newly released Disney movie. 📚
The highlight of this book is the beautiful illustrations. The illustrator did an amazing job of capturing the live action version of this film in these pictures. Any little mermaid fans will enjoy this book. It’s a great addition to any bookshelf. 🦀🐠🧜🏽♀️

This is a great book and teaches girls that they are strong, powerful and limitless, showing them they they can become strong and powerful women.
Rohan and Nyra and Big Sister’s Bet
Written by Anthony C. Delauney and illustrated by Chiara Civati
Age: 5+
This book tells the story of a little boy who learns the hard way what happens when his actions are greedy. He doesn’t appreciate what he has and ends up losing in a game with his older sister. This is an interesting lesson about greed for children. 📚
This book also features a disabled character. It is a great to see disability awareness in children’s books. 💜
