I don't think I've actually introduced myself here before....

Hi 👋 im Kay, the face behind nails at Birdie & Bangs.

Ive been a nail technician for about 20 years now and im so thankful that my hobby is my job 🥰.

3 of my favourite things about being a nail technician are:

💫 The prep ( there is nothing more satisfying then preparing a nail bed 🤤)

💫 Colour 🌈 ( I love applying bright colours on clients nails.... especially when they are venturing out of their comfort zone)

💫 Meeting so many people and hearing about their lives

5 facts about me:

💥 I have 3 children aged 4,5 and 9

✨Im so happy that finally there is so much in the media at the moment raising awareness about the risks associated with at home nail kits causing allergies and the risks associated with professionals using products which are not manufactured in the UK, South Africa, USA or Europe.

✨Calgel is a professional only brand who only let you purchase from them if you have trained with them. As a UK manufactured brand they meet all safety regulations.

✨It is so Important to know what it is you are putting on your nails and that the brands you are using are manufactured and sourced in places which meet safety regulations. It is also imperative that the same brand light box for curing is used as the gel brand.

✨I am absolutely still as in love with Calgel as when i started nearly twenty years ago 🙈 and so so proud to be using such a great brand ❤️
