Sadly we’ve officially closed Gestalt Coffeeshop in Shifnal. It’s a shame we were unable to work it out, but we hope to launch it again one day elsewhere 🤞

It's uncertain times for the hospitality industry. To keep things simple - we're using our other brand, Coffee With Soul, to keep you updated on our status both here and at The Green Wood Café.

👉 COVID-19 Update

The hospitality industry is struggling… But we’re not going down without a fight, although we do recognise the need to adapt in the interest of public safety… therefore from SATURDAY 21st onwards at The Green Wood Café we’ll be offering click-and-collect and to-go services ONLY.
Gestalt Coffeeshop will be closed indefinitely.

Between now and then we are taking time to reset; we need to finalise our on-line click-and-collect system and make plans with our team, we’ll offer takeaway drinks to anyone passing by GWC too…

🦠Our GWC premises will not be open to the public, including our outdoor seating - you’ll find us operating from a collection/order point at the door.
🦠 The click-and-collect menu will go live on www.thegreenwoodcoffeelodge.com on Saturday.
🦠We’ll operate 10:00-15:00 every day at GWC until circumstances dictate otherwise.
🦠Should time and resources allow, we hope to extend our click-and-collect menu and offer a delivery service too.
🦠All our packaging is 100% compostable - we will sadly not be able to accept re-usable cups/containers.
🦠We will only be accepting card or contactless payments for takeaway orders
🦠We will be following the strictest hygiene and safety measures imaginable.

During this difficult period for everyone, we are particularly grateful to the support shown to all indie businesses and to all of us in the hospitality industry - thank you thank you thank you.

For simplicity, we’ll be posting updates on our operating status of our two places, The Green Wood Café & Gestalt Coffeeshop, on our website - www.coffeewithsoul.co.uk ⁣

The possibility of forced closures and loss of trade to a small indie businesses such as ourselves has massive impact. We support social distancing and every day (whilst we can still open) we are further reviewing what more we can do in our premises, on top of our current strict measures, to limit risk of infection amongst the team and customers.

Here’s some things that you can do to help us out:⁣

• Please use our bins to dispose of any used tissues/napkins/packaging/any rubbish yourself - do not leave these items on the table when you depart⁣
• Please pay by card/contactless to minimise handling of cash⁣
•If you’re having a takeaway drink in your own re-usable cup, please ensure it is clean and pass us the cup itself without the lid.⁣
•Please respect people’s personal space and practice strict hygiene (ie use hand wash sinks/sanitiser upon entering a premises)⁣
•Please consider purchasing takeaway⁣
•Please consider buying gift vouchers from indie businesses to help us/them weather the storm, and redeem it later on when things hopefully return to normal…⁣

We’re following all the government advice regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and are taking all reasonable measures in store to keep our staff and customers safe - so if we’re operating a little different to usual, you’ll know why.

We value soulful expression through creativity, and it just so happens that many of our Coffee With Soul team are artists and crafters! After many requests for us to do so, we’re excited to say we’re now selling our creatives’ products, with 10% of all profits going to our monthly chosen charity, the same as with our . The rest of the profits go back into the project to fuel more creativity!

Currently available to buy:
🌿 Macrame Plant & Wall Hangings - made mostly by Tuesday (Insta ) & sometimes Jody-Lea (Insta ). Find these at Gestalt Coffeeshop.

🌿 Crochet ‘bits & bobs’ baskets - made mostly by Jody-Lea & sometimes Tuesday. Find these at The Green Wood Café.
Side note: we currently use them in our GWC bathrooms to hold donated sanitary products for anyone to take in an emergency; thank you to everyone who keeps this system going through their donations! Someone actually stole one of these baskets the other day (and left the sanitary products all over the side) which is what got us crochet-ing more, so thanks for the push d***head 😉

🌿 We also have Tuesday’s (Insta ) linoprint cards, and Toyah’s (Toyah Emily) brownie making kits at both Coffee With Soul locations.

🌿 We may have more products and the possibility of workshops to come… watch this space!

‘Kindness Drink’ 🖤

Today is National Random Acts of Kindness Day. It’s a fitting day to formalise something some of our customers do already… We’d like to tell you about our new system where you can buy a ‘Kindness Drink’ for a stranger. Our team will then pay these forward by gifting the pre-paid drinks to people in need or people we feel deserve a little pick me up. We also donate 10% of every Kindness Drink sold to a charity of the teams choice.

🖤 Want to purchase a drink for someone else? Just ask at the till to pay for a ‘Kindness Drink’.

🖤 In need of a drink? It’s yours, no questions asked. ANYONE can ask to redeem a drink, there is no judgement - just ask any of the team to redeem a drink and you’ll be offered a tea or coffee, just how you like. You’re welcome to stay in with your drink, these aren’t just for takeaway; we aim to offer a safe space for ALL people and we’re here if you need us.

🖤 Been gifted a drink but you’re not sure why? Don’t overthink it, our team gift drinks at their discretion for a whole variety of reasons. Sometimes it’s as simple as you’ve been a joy to serve!

Note from the directors: we’d like to thank our manager Ash for starting this project! It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a long time and Ash pushed us to make it happen.
