RESULTS!!!!

Kaylea had a very strong run tonight, she charged to a solid p2 finish in the jr 3, and made great strides in the 125! Great way to get ready for the final points weekend @ KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~ next friday and Saturday!!!

Results from kam! It was a long weekend for the RAM crew, after three days of straight racing and traveling the weekend is finally over! Proud of the drivers for representing the team and for how hard they both fought all weekend! We will take a break and regroup for the final 2 day show KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~ in two weeks!!!

Race update

Last night both drivers showed speed but lady luck was just not with us tonight, headed back south for the last race of the three day show at KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~ for the last race of the Spooker Kart Nationals

Results from night one!

Jax struggled with motor issues all night, he missed hotlaps and struggled in the heat, after the heat the crew figured out the technical issues and got him running for the main. He started p11 and drove the wheels off of it to a solid p6 finish!

Kaylea had a up and down night in both classes, she had solid runs going in both mains until contact from behind would put her towards the back, the results from the night didnt show the speed the 11k Jr3 and the 11k 125 outlaw had!

The crew is loaded uo and headed towards altus for day two of the Spooker Kart Nationals!

Jax will be piloting his Jr 3 for the weekend.
Kalyea will be running double duty in both the Jr 3 and 125 outlaw classes this weekend!

Race recap from night one KAM Kartway ~Go Kart Dirt Racing in North Texas~!

Jr 2

Unfortunately Jax missed his heat race and had to tag the rear of the main, putting together a solid run he would advance from 8th to 6th, not to shabby after missing the heat!

Jr3
Jax
Jaxson started p3 but was collected in a wreck on lap one and wasnt able to get back into the flow and ultimately fell back to p6.
In the main the results did not show the speed that the 22j had last night, starting dead last jax charged through the feild and drove up to p6 before the tires went away and he had to fight a loose car. He would finish p12 but has high hopes for day 2!

Kaylea
Kaylea’s run went about the same as jax, chasing the setup in the heat she started p4 but fell back to p6. Her main didnt fair much better after getting caught up in a racing incident with 5 to go, she would rally back from the back to finish p8!

125
More seat time for kaylea in her 125, only 3 made the call and she would still fight the handling issues all night, she finished p3 in the main and car owner will be making some major setup changes for night two!

All in all a rough night, but the karts rolled in the trailer with little to no damage, getting geared up for day two!

Well Ram Motorsports made the Trip down to ATP this weekend with kaylea running her jr3 and 125 outlaw this weekend!

Jr3
Hot laps looked great, the 11k jr3 was showing some really good speed at the beginning of the night!

Heat 1
Kaylea had a great start to the night, advancing forward she would finish p2 for the first round of heats.

Heat 2
Heat two proved to be a little harder to pass with the track taking a lot more rubber on the bottom of the racing surface. Kaylea was only able to advance to p4 for the second heat.

Main

It was a late night but kaylea showed some serious speed in the main. She had advanced up to p4 in the 10+ car field, unfortunately she was collected in a caution. No ones fault just a racing deal. Kaylea restarted p8 and with the racing surface being one lane, she wasnt able to advance from there. Still a solid top 10 finish!

125
This car was riddled with gremlins all night, issues in hotlaps and the first heat put the team behind the 8 ball for the second half of the night.

Heat 1 ended with a dnf

Heat 2
Chasing the setup and still trying to figure out what to do with a ill running motor, kaylea would finish the second heat in p6.

Main
Josh was able to figure some of the motor issues out and got kaylea a solid running motor for the main, but with the issues in hot laps and the first heat, the setup was still off from where it needed to be, the 11k still showed heart and commitment and drove hard with a ill handling race car. She would finish the 125 main in p7.

Overall a hard luck night but thats what you get with racing, good days and bad days. We will re-rack and gear up for the next race at kam kartway on labor-day weekend!

Race Recap

Last night Ram Motorsports made the voyage to Kam Kartway For another round of racing this weekend. It was a warm day for racing and we had a over all good night.

Young guns
Saylor would start p3 in the Heat, fast bunch of young guns this weekend and the track was tricky to pass on, Saylor fell back to p5 and would finish there.

In the main Saylor rolled off p9, track was right around the bottom and was still hard to make passes. Saylor advanced up to p8 and would settle for that.

Jr 2
Jax would have a quiet heat, starting and finishing p3.

In the main he would start deep in the back of the field, rolling off p12 he would make some moves and finish just inside the top 10 in 9th.

Jr 3

Jax debuted a new kart last night powered by Pc Motorworks. Jax rolled off p5, after a few laps he caught the berm in three and four and would end up on his side. After the red the track officials checked him over and got him rolling once again. The fire was lit and jaxson charged back to a third place finish in the heat.

Kaylea started p4 and would run finish the heat there. Had to make a few setup adjustments after the heat.

In the main Jax Rolled off p5 and Kaylea would roll of in p7. Jax was on a rocket-ship last night, he would charge to a solid 2nd place finish in a group of fast drivers. Kaylea would dnf unfortunately due to mechanical failures.

125/oi
Kaylea would be the lone 125 outlaw last night, so the track officials had her run with the open intermediates. She would be awarded 1st place in the 125 class.

Over All a great run for our entire team, we will be back at kam kartway next month on August 19th.

As many of you know we started this racing journey this past April, and it’s quickly become our life. We spend just about every weekend at the tracks, and always leave looking forward to the next weekend. Jaxson loves everything about racing, and has big goals for himself. He puts in the work, and is always trying to squeeze in practice time even if that means staying up until 3AM after a race and getting in extra laps!

That being said we are looking for sponsors for our 2023 season!! We will be visiting local business soon, so if you or anyone you know may be interested please get in contact with me! Every little bit helps keep this kid doing what he loves, and reaching his goals.

Jaxson is currently projected to run in approximately 60-70 racing events during the 2023 year and on most of those nights he will be pulling double duty racing both his JR2 and JR3 kart. This past year Jaxson has placed 1st in many events and has earned a Top 3 podium finish in approximately 80% of his events, the other 20% of the time he has either been spun out, crashed, or ran through a fence.

Over the past 5 years youth racing has exploded onto the scene and these kids are highly competitive racing all over the country in various sanctions ultimately hoping to be the National Champion. Racing Outlaw Karts not only provides Jaxson an opportunity to learn how to compete it also instills life lasting traits that will assist him to develop into a successful young man such as discipline, courage, and communication skills. Jaxson not only races his Outlaw Karts he also is highly active in the racing preparation. Jaxson assist with setting up his chassis, prepping his tires, and overall kart setup. Outside of racing Jaxson is currently involved in the Permian Basin Youth Football League and maintains the A-Honor Roll at Andrews Elementary School.

Weekend race update!

Kaylea and Jaxson both got on the podium in Amarillo taking 3rd in their divisions!
Jaxson took 2nd Saturday night in Lubbock!

Lots of really good racing this weekend! I love seeing how much they learn from week to week!

Eventful race weekend! Kaylea stepped it up this weekend showing lots of confidence and grabbing the first hardware of the year! Jaxson had a rough time in Amarillo, but nothing a few Kart adjustments won’t fix! Josh figured out how to lay his kart on its side Friday night! 😂 But, it’s always fun to watch him race!
