A NEW GENERATION OF LEADERSHIP!
Come enjoy dinner at Texas Roadhouse and support Special Olympics Colorado athletes on Wednesday at the Tip A Cop event. Let law enforcement serve you. All tips will go to Special Olympics. See you there from 5 to 9 p.m.
In the office I often wear many hats; I answer phone calls, cover different departments if we are short staffed, adapt and adjust when legislation changes and so much more. When talking with customers on the phone or in person, they are ever so thankful, but shocked that I’m the one assisting them. I always let them know that I represent all of Pueblo County and it is my job and duty to help. I believe in leading by example and I will continue to proudly serve all taxpayers. I always appreciate the kind words when I receive them, it reminds me of my oath and how I am honored to be your County Treasurer & Public Trustee.
Thank you!

Pueblo students help hundreds of families celebrate Thanksgiving with TLC High school students in Pueblo worked together Saturday to deliver hundreds of boxes of food to families in need for the Thanksgiving holiday.
So proud of my son, I will always lead by example! He helped put together and distribute 400 Thanksgiving meals. I donated to TLC and always have conversations with him about the importance of helping those in need.
The world isn’t changed by your opinions, it’s changed by your actions. Thankful for all the students, staff, donors, and everyone who contributed to this great cause. 💙💙

ALUMNI ROLL CALL
EAST EAGLE ALBERT SANDOVAL NOW A WORLD CHAMPION
As a young boy playing backyard baseball, and later on the field with the East Eagles (Class of 2004), Albert Sandoval always made it a point to dream, to “think big.”
“My parents always encouraged me to dream,” Albert said. “And I made it a point to do that.”
One of those dreams recently unfolded on the diamond of Chase Field in Phoenix, where the Texas Rangers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-0 to claim the 2023 World Series title.
As an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Rangers, Albert travels with the team. Thus, he was in the heart of the celebratory action as Texas secured the final out to dispatch Arizona.
Fittingly, Albert's parents were there as well, and his first thought was to find them on the field and share a hug and kiss.
“Fortunately, I am in the position to fly my parents to some games and provide them with tickets," he said. "So naturally, I couldn’t wait to see them on the field. My first thought was to say ‘thank you,’ because all this success started with them, back in Pueblo.”
Come Opening Day 2024, Albert will be presented with a coveted World Series Championship Ring: an accomplishment only a rare few can lay claim to.
“It takes an incredible and special group to accomplish incredible and special things, and in general, this Texas Rangers group has been awesome,” Albert said. “And the best part about it is that it was done correctly.
“I never expected to one day own a World Series Championship Ring, but I dreamt it for sure. And the reality of it coming true is a blessing from God.”

Both of my parents were Union members. My mom was President of her Association (PESPA) for years! Growing up I remember learning about not crossing picket lines and back then I didn’t fully grasp it, now I do! I vividly remember when my dad went on strike (multiple strikes over 40+ years) at CF&I (now Evraz) we relied on food banks to help put food on the table. Despite the recent tentative agreements, United Auto Workers and their families still need help here in Colorado. Please consider donating, I assure you it makes a huge impact on families…..I was that family!
