DID YOU KNOW??
There are many people who experience vision loss, but not all in the same way. Different people can lose vision for different reasons and in different ways. Some people may not be able to see anything at all while others may lose some more specific senses like depth perception or night blindness. It’s important for us to be aware that they may have different levels of vision, and therefore, different needs.
Have an amazing day guys!! 💛✨

“Golden Hour”:
A beautiful and powerful reminder of His constant presence. I decided to paint this mosque inspired by the gorgeous pastel pink tones of Jaipuri architecture & the imperfections of old-world clay. Even in their simplicity, mosques have a beauty that is pure and radiant.

“Anteaque”:
Sabr; a pillar of one’s spirituality and a significant concept that we keep coming back to. This art print is perfect for adding a sophisticated touch to your living space. The aesthetic of this piece was inspired by the centuries-old yet everyday practice of enjoying a simple cup of chai with loved ones!

For the longest time, I have kind of shied away from talking about disability online. I do mention it here and there, but sometimes I felt like I didn’t want it to be in people’s faces or make it an overwhelming part of my image. But I was born legally blind. I have had poor vision for my whole life, and to be honest, it doesn’t get any better. This has never hindered me, probably because I have lived a very “normal” life.
I think it’s important to talk about it though. I think that it is necessary to share, to make people aware, to normalize the conversation around disabilities.
I have experienced lack of accessibility. I have experienced discrimination. I have experienced the difficulties that come with having a disability in the workforce. And I have experienced having to navigate through the physical aspects of visual impairment.
There are many things that eventually lead me to the path I’m on right now, and my disability is one of them. It doesn’t make me damaged, or a “poor girl”. It doesn’t even make me inspirational. It just makes me different.
And this is about celebrating that. It’s about reaching out to those who are different and acknowledging them.
100% of the profits from the Ramadan Charity Collection will be donated. works to provide accessible Islamic education including Braille Qur’an.

I’m starting to get into a bit of abstract! I love the aesthetic, abd I have to say that “abstract is easy” is probably one of the big misconceptions of art. 😌
Something that I love about paintings is texture, and hat can be a little bit hard to achieve with digital painting. I’m pretty happy with the textures that I managed to get with this one. But this is just a little peep of the actual painting...I have something special planned for this one!

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!! ✨🌸🍃
I actually started this piece a year ago, and every once in a while (when I had a decent idea 😂) I just added more elements. So basically it kind of came together like an unexpected puzzle.
This is one of my personal favourite paintings that I have made. It makes me think of the simple beautiful moments of life. I really tried to focus on textures because there are so many different objects. My goal was to create something that felt warm and sunny, and just pleasant.
What do you guys think?

Painting: A portion of a backyard on a warm sunny day. There is an old wooden window shutter open, exposing some embroidered curtains. Outside the window, there is a clay pot full of untamed pink flowers. Next to it, sits a slightly rusted metal watering can. Further away, there is a beige clay birdbath. A little blue bird is perched on the edge of it while another one is flying towards it.

This piece screams Spring time! ...and I couldn’t be happier 😁 I really enjoyed painting the watering can since I’ve never painted metal before! My favourite part is that you can see the reflection of the flower pot on the metal can. 😄
This is a close up shot of a bigger painting in progress, stay tuned to see it all come together!

I love birds! I find them so beautiful and they remind me of simply being present, taking life a day at a time! 💛

Mangosteen
Study by
-Aisha M.
Sometimes taking the time to focus on simple things makes you realize how truly marvellous they are :) 😌
To be honest, this is not necessarily the most exciting type of painting for a lot of people. But I have been trying to work on my brushwork and doing still life paintings of simple objects is awesome practice. So for this study, I used a photo of mangosteens that I had taken on August 5, 2020. I like the imperfections of this piece. Let me know what you guys think?👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽

I was blown away by this gorgeous photograph posted by and decided to recreate it as a digital painting. The goal was to get the colour palette right (because that’s the thing that instantly caught my eye!) and to give a pastel-ish, unrefined look.
Btw, I absolutely suck at painting humans/animals, so I kept the horse out of the picture 😂 I’m a work in progress!

About two years ago, I started experimenting with digital art and I instantly recognized a sense of passion that I had not expected. As I have spent time creating and trying to improve my art, I have realized that creativity has brought a lot of value to my life and I believe that sharing it will be valuable to others too. I have visited and revisited the idea of pursuing art many times. I started posting some of my work on social media, but then decided that I needed to rethink the entire process. In other words, I have procrastinated! 😅 I have learned a lot and still have lots to learn. But at the end of the day, creativity has allowed me to flourish, and by sharing this journey with you, I hope that it can inspire something inside you too! 💛

The thought that somewhere a piece of all of our stories or experiences still lives is so amazing to me. They are marked and captured as a moment in time. We’ve all probably done something like this before: written the name of our crush on a desk in some classroom or on a wall, or perhaps, in a notebook. We may have written our own name somewhere we have visited, marking our existence as a souvenir for that very spot. Just think about the fact that these little things are still just floating around somewhere. Even after years, that desk is still being used, moved around and around in different classrooms. That notebook could still be in a junk drawer, or being reused by someone, or sitting in a landfill. That bench or wall or bridge is still standing in that foreign country you visited. There are glimpses of our existence everywhere, and time itself is witness.

Picture Perfect✨ I took this photo a couple years ago at Blue Mountain and I remember this day so clearly, and it was just as beautiful as it looks in this picture. The sky is crisp, the sun is bright, and all the colours look so vibrant. Plus, I love the flowers in the front. I’ve been very inspired by flowers these days. There will be some floral inspired paintings comings up...stay tuned! 😊💕

8059...the total amount of brushstrokes in this painting is 8059. 😅
I always enjoyed art; creating and indulging in what others have created. I enjoy writing, and poetry, and baking and so many other forms of creativity. What I have realized is that these are the little things that make life worth living. It just makes you feel good to make something, it gives you a sense of utter and complete joy. It can be exhausting, but in a good way, so you wanna keep going. That’s why I feel like this is something I want to pursue in life. So even after 8059 brushstrokes, I’m still pumped for the next blank canvas 😆
