Keep your arms at your shoulder width wherever possible.
Have your arms relaxed, and your body and hands warmed up before piano practise (light exercises and wear gloves where necessary before practise to warm the fingers up).

How to play the A minor harmonic scale (with the right hand)
Eight notes in a scale.
All white keys for the natural keys.
Raise the seventh note (the G goes up to the right to play the black key).
The tricky part is the fi*****ng to play the 6th, 7th and 8th notes for the small gap between the notes. Then having your thumb under going up to two octaves. Then the fourth finger going over, as you come back down the scale.

Alice received the Queens Award in 1995. Alice is committed to professional development and has studied early years music at CREC (Birmingham City University), and at the British Kodaly Academy.
