A little bit of magic, made for a little wizard from the wood of a Redtip Photinia that was destined to be discarded. Stained, lightly charred and finished with to make it look every part of a thousand years old.

This gorgeous Tasmanian Blackheart Sassafras bowl is finally finished! The warm golden brown heartwood, stunning deep dark brown/black veins and light sapwood shine through to create visual interest. Honestly, Blackheart Sassafras has to be my favourite wood to work with.
