The day finally arrived I said goodbye to an old friend yesterday. We’ve been together for 29 years but it was time to part ways. The good news is that someone else has stepped in to take my place. OK, what really happened is that I sold my 1993 Epiphone SG to a young thirteen year old guitarist who needed a guitar to begin his own musical journey. I never that would part with this guitar but I found myself playing others more. Goodbye old friend. I hope you bring as much enjoyment to your new friend as you have me.

Got to say, tonight’s gig at OTPH with Radio Nowhere Band was possibly our best yet. Mike Edwards totally stuck it on drums and Lee Parrish, well not only was he grooving with Mike, but he was physically grooving. I mean he was MOVING. And Bob Beck, OMG, I can’t begin to praise his solos. OFF THE CHARTS. AND, he sings too! I am a happy camper to say the least. Lots of positive feedback and support from our friends who showed up!!!!

Couple minutes until I head out to Old Town Public House for tonight’s gig with Radio Nowhere Band. Start time is 7pm, end at 10. Hope to see you there.

I’ve got a nice end of the week coming up. Friday with Radio Nowhere at Old Town Public House in Cornelius NC 8pm-11pm, and Saturday with Rearview Rock at the Birkdale Village HOA, 12pm-3pm. Hope to see all my locals come out, if you can. ✌️ ❤️

I played a few Jimmy Buffett songs today at Sycamore Brewing between our Rearview Rock sets. I’ve been a fan of his since my mom, Joyce, who was living in Key West when Jimmy’s career first took off, told me to check out his music. Then when I went to Community College in Key West (1980-1982) I saw him perform when I was working on the auditorium stage crew. Once I began performing myself, his songs became a regular part of my set list. Jimmys music has been in my life for so long so it’s hard to believe he has sailed off into the Caribbean sunset. In his honor I am sipping tequila, not in a Margarita, and preparing a cheeseburger and fries for dinner.

10 minutes to showtime

Just wanted to update all of my faithful followers on today’s events. Me and all the members of Rearview Rock played at Sycamore Brewery in Charlotte today. First, it was HOT!! OMG!! I mean, really hot, & humid. We’ve noticed that at 5 the crowd is thin, but it gets bigger as people come in from work. Hey, everyone needs a end of the week release. And that’s what we deliver. And, we’re going to do it again tomorrow from 3ish to 6. Dan is mixing up the set list so come out if your in the area.

I’ve been trying to book some local solo gigs but it’s tough out there. Most local venues book months in advance. If you’d like to see me play in a local venue, please let them know. The best recommendation is still word of mouth.

I’ll be playing with Rearview Rock this weekend. Hope to see you there.

Hey local friends, if you’re not doing anything next Saturday night, 4/22, please consider coming out to Old Town Public House in Cornelius to support the debut appearance of our new band, Radio Nowhere. We’ll be playin 8-11, three sets. Seems the Southern Style Duo had to cancel tomorrow so I'll be doing a acoustic solo in their place to fill in. BONUS!!

Looking to the weekend, I'll be playing a private party with Rearview Rock on Friday and I'll be at the Denver Farmer's Market Saturday morning from 8am(ish) til Noon. I'll try to livestream if I can.

Happy Friday everyone. Looking forward to a semi quiet weekend. I’ll be practicing up on some new songs, Clapton’s Layla and The Beatles Here Comes The Sun. Next Friday I’ll try to go live with Rearview Rock. We’ve got a couple new songs in the set. If yesterday’s practice is any indication I’ll say we’re gonna crush it.
