Cyclists 👋 I have added a new post ride stretch to my YouTube channel. It’s only 10 mins, give it a go.

Because whilst our preferred post ride fix of coffee, cake & a chinwag is great for the soul it doesn’t do wonders for our tight quads, stiff shoulders and sore lower back 😉

One whole year of being married to you ❤️ 19/08/23

I am so lucky to have met you. You make my life fuller in every way, I always feel supported not smothered and you make everything sunny side up. We don’t make life easy for ourselves, and seem to find ample challenges to navigate but I wouldn’t have it any other way and side by side it’s all an adventure anyway.

Thank you for being my husband. I love you more than I knew possible.

Snaps by my wonderful friend

❤️

Feeling inspired after a solid 2 weeks of watching pretty much every single event at the Paris Olympics.

Now my own countdown is on, less than 4 months until I take the BSR gymnastics test. Focused and determined to finish what l’ve started. Let’s do this 💪

A Quiet Place: Day One

One of my first stunt jobs as a trainee on the British Stunt Register. It was pretty exciting to get a taste of what I’ve spent so long training for.

As an actor I was obsessed with Lupita Nyong’o, they say never meet your idols but she defies this rule. What a legend 💥

Very greatful to the for giving me the opportunity to do this job 🙏 big up to the cool cats I worked alongside 🤩

How often do you give yourself a full body stretch? It feels so good and doesn’t need to take any longer than a hot minute.

Try starting your day tomorrow with a quick bit of movement and see how you feel after. In this video I am doing a variation of a sun salutation (from yoga) but you really can do anything. Focus on how it feels not what it looks like.

In the words of Chris Martin “Glastonbury is best city in the world”

Glasto 2024 the best yet. So filled up with love and gratitude 🌈🫶

No pain no gain? Literal blood, sweat, and tears go into the prep for the BSR gymnastics test.

Once the callouses get too big, I actually have to shave them off (so gross, sorry!) with an old-school razor blade, otherwise they rip when I’m on the bars doing the skill and that’s never fun.

I grew up on a farm with a couple of big ponds. My mum was terrified of me and my brothers falling in and getting into trouble. So she threw us into swimming lessons super early. I am so grateful. Feeling confident in water is such a blessing 🌟

There are some new faces here, so I thought I would share a bit about myself ☺️

1) I absolutely love books! I was a late starter to reading because I’m dyslexic, which created some friction. But since I found a ‘way in’ and found my flow with books, I haven’t stopped. I can’t imagine a day without reading! I read 60 books last year (I spend a lot of time on trains/tubes/busses 🤪) I alternate between fiction and non-fiction. I love immersing myself in other worlds but also expanding my understanding of this world. Reading is such a wonderful way to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, to learn, and gain different perspectives. Let me know if you want any recommendations 📕

2) I went to RADA () one of the best drama schools in the 🌍 I had a really extensive training there; acting methods, singing, dialect coaching, Alexander Technique, armed & unarmed combat, movement studies, flamenco, period dance…it was a busy 3 years! I enjoyed working as an actress, but decided to challenge myself and become a stunt woman.

3) I love adventure! I have been lucky enough to go on some pretty epic adventures, solo trekking the three passes in the Everest Region (also passing Everest Base Camp), surfing in Sri Lanka (on honeymoon), Ski mountaineering in Norway and countless rock climbing trips with my husband . We have a really great tent and call it our ‘holiday home’ - the perfect flexible cost-cutting accommodation 😅

Happy Monday! Here’s your reminder to take care of yourself, however that may be 💙

I have always been freelance and have never worked in an office. I’ve loved it. I’ve had so many different jobs, which has given me the opportunity to figure out what the right balance for me is.

My career right now revolves around fitness. I’ve taught at yoga/fitness studios all around London. I used to cycle to 5 different studios a day with my friend . We’d wake at 5am, take the bus around 5:20 am, open the studio, teach doubles in the morning, at lunchtime, and then in the evening finally finishing at 9:30pm. Then we’d cook dinner and would never get much sleep.

It wasn’t very sustainable, but we taught so many classes, of different styles, at different venues so it really gave me a leg up. Helping clients with different bodies and abilities has given me such a wealth of experience that I use daily and am so grateful for.

Why is mobility practice important?🤔

If we want to continue to be able to do the movements we do on a daily basis when we start to age, we need to practice them.

Mobility training is our current self supporting our future self. If we don’t move and strengthen our spines now, then what will stop us from becoming hunched over in the future?

Your body can benefit greatly from 10 minutes of mobility practice each day. Support your future self by joining our program today - try it for free for a month💁‍♀️Sign up via the link in my bio🔗
