Willow Creek Acres
Small family owned and operated hobby farm nestled in the comfort and beauty of Estey’s Bridge, NB.
Over here living my best life 🥰
Things are great on the funny farm! New hens should be laying soon and exciting things happening in the coming weeks! Now that the bugs are FINALLY starting to die down it’s 🐴 time with some great horses and great friends 🥰
Haven’t done a post in a while..
I have been away for a week an a half.. came home to a super clean barn with new hooks, racks, counters, stain, and electrical upgrades.
So fortunate to live the “farm life” I have always dreamed of with a supportive husband and my best friends as boarders.
There are moments in farm life that make you really question your sanity … but the times where you feel nothing but pure happiness make it all worth while.
Each day my childhood dream is fulfilled more. I am so proud of the changes we’ve made around the farm and excited for the current and future projects. So thankful for a team of family and friends who see and add to my vision and help it come to life!! Here is some of our progress over the past 5yrs
Today I asked my daughter what color of horse she likes and what she sees her first horse looking like. She looked at me confused for a moment.. then pointed to my heart horse of nearly 17 years and said “that color. Willow is MY horse mom” I teared up a little. This year we will be celebrating Willow’s 20th. She has been my rock through adolescence and adulthood and followed me along on this wild journey called life. To hear my 4yr old say she loves her.. tugs at heart strings that I can’t quite sum into words. She didn’t know I was videoing her.. and not much happens but just watching the two of them form a bond is the sweetest thing this equestrian mom could hope for.
Our liberty work is coming along! So rewarding
🤠 🐴
Perfect way to end a lovely weekend ☀️ 👨👩👧👦 🐴
Lots of upgrades taking place! Looking forward to staining this weekend 🎨 🖌 👩🎨
The rainbows appeared to actually start in the Sandwith’s field.. I regret not going to look for the pot of gold 😂 🌈 💰
Our good friend Courtney has been hanging around learning the ropes over the last year and we’re oh-so-happy to welcome her FIRST HORSE!!! Congratulations!! So happy for you both and grateful to get to participate in the journey! 🤠 🐎 🥰
Sure looks like spring out there!! So nice to have NO snow.
Introducing the newest member to our funny farm! Reggie is an 8 week old Golden Retriever from Getchell’s Goldens. Today was his first day doing chores and he was a great little helper.
Willow has been a part of this family for nearly 16 years.. I am so happy that our kids now get to make memories with their Mama’s heart horse. At almost 19 she is a bit wiser but... still has the spunky sass 🙊🐴 👧 👦
Yay for better footing!! Let it snow ❄️ ❄️ ❄️ the girls are all bundled up, munching away and enjoying the shelter
Happy new year 🥳
Feeling festive
Our barn cats don’t have to worry about the cold.. they have a heated room and lots of food. I was lucky to get Spooky in this pic (black).. she is feral and enjoys that I put food out for her but that’s about it 😂
These ladies are ready for the cold 🥶 turned them out this morning and they parked themselves at the feeders!
Grey is one of our barn cats. Hard to believe not so long ago he was pretty feral! Such a handsome fella.
Trail riding central here on the weekends!
