Friends, family, and new faces gathered at the Positive Exposure Gallery in NYC for my art exhibit. The exhibition, titled Art Heals, features my artwork and documents my story of discovering abstract art through art therapy and transforming barriers into strengths.

Positive Exposure partners with hundreds of nonprofits, hospital systems, advocacy groups, and educational institutions, creating educational resources and programming to reconstruct societal attitudes towards individuals living with genetic, physical, behavioral, or intellectual differences.

We recently visited our new friends at the Kingsway Learning Center in Voorhees, New Jersey. Kingsway offers Preschool, Elementary, Secondary, and Adult Day Programs for the Special Needs Community. We throughly enjoyed watching the kids dive into painting, arts and crafts.

Kingsway Learning Center is hosting an Art Auction on June 6th - all artwork was created by their students, and all proceeds go directly back to the wonderful services they provide.

A few good friends stopped by the art studio last week.
Sanford "Sandy" Tweedie, Ph.D., Dean of the Ric Edleman College of Communications and Creative Arts at Rowan, and Paul Stankard, an internationally acclaimed artist in the studio glass movement. We exchanged laughs and life stories, and I had the chance to show them some of my latest pieces. Stay tuned; video to come...

I am looking forward to the debut of this film tonight on the campus of Rowan. I hade the opportunity to visit Paul's amazing workshop a few months ago, and Paul will be visiting my studio tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned for the video!
