Mid June and that means another MYC year has come to an end. So happy that we spent the whole year with in person learning! Year number 33 is in the books!
MYC Composition Festival has concluded. What a wonderful two weeks full of playing and listening to some wonderful compositions written by MYC students from all around the world.
Congratulations to one of my students, Skye, for placing first regionally in her level. Lazy Rain was the title :)
Composition season has come to an end :) Congratulations to all my students for completing and performing their compositions at our March recital. Our theme this year was weather!

A new look for my studio.
The new normal for our classes - keeping our distance. However, it will be good to see everyone in person to enjoy our MYC classes together again.

How easy it is to slip into summer mode now that classes have ended :) Looking forward to the online version of the MYC conference beginning next week to inspire me and aid my preparations for September.
Since it was a prerecorded video there were no surprises about when the "cute" moments would come but just the same all went well with our year end recital Bravo and congratulations all
With the conclusion of the recital there is only a wrap up class left in our music year. This year marks 30 years of teaching MYC for me. MYC as a program celebrated 40 years in March. Hard to believe that I have been part of this wonderful team/family for 30 of those 40 years !!

Happy Mother's Day! Parents/Grandparents play such a vital role in our MYC classes and in their child's music education. As a teacher I truly appreciate the dedication that parents put in throughout our MYC year and as a parent and grandparent I know the value of this role. Thank you to all "my" MYC moms!!
Trying to take advantage of imposed isolation at home to become more tech savvy It's a slow process but I'm getting there. Continuing with online lessons and trying to get organized for an online recital - the first time trying that in 30 years of teaching MYC !
