Just over a year ago I wouldn’t even tell people that I made music and I’m in the middle of creating a work of beautiful art I can’t wait to share with you next year.

Don’t stress me….

But seriously our energy goes where our attention flows. Every notification, WhatsApp etc takes our awareness off of where we intend to have it.

For someone who is trying really hard to be as intentional with their time as possible messages can be a distraction in the moment…delays can come off as a bit anti or rude to some but adulting takes a lot of energy so allow those of us who need 24-168 hrs to reply the required time 😬 it’s rarely personal

Clarity.

Sometimes I get in my head. Trying to get this picture perfect clarity on the HOW things are going to pan out.

But as clear as the vision might be, the how, I think needs to leave space for the unknown otherwise it’s impossible to seize the present moment if you’re constantly focused on the how the future will be.

Visualise. Plan. Work better. Then flow with the current and adjust where needed.

Just a reminder to myself that’s it ok to leave some room for uncertainty because uncertainty is inevitable.

Today a friend asked me ‘what is your why?’

Why music - why rise daily?

I hadn’t thought about it in a while and I started babbling a little.

But really it’s simple. I didn’t want to die with my music still in me. I had a deep knowing that for me to go down the path towards the highest version of myself I needed to use my God given gifts. Creating music is my most natural state of being. So, who am I to fight against nature?

It doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. Creation often comes from pain. The path to anything great is guaranteed to be paved with obstacles (mentally, spiritually and physically).

The goal is to know that you have the power within you to rise above it, so that with time, you can get to wherever you decide to keep your focus.
