As Christmas is fast approaching I have now started working on this year's Christmas card collection. I have personally been giving and sending them for many many years, and it is a tradition that I love.
I know that it’s unfortunately been seen as a bit of a dying art since most people nowadays will just send an email or a meme on social media. I however do feel that sending someone a handwritten card means more. In today's busy world, it also says’ You are so important to me that I chose to sit down and write you this card, meaning, I gave you something that is the most precious to me. My time.

Hi gang! So I know it's been a while since I last shared something new with you here, but I have been busy growing a little person in my belly!👶❤️

Again this was about playing with the pattern and colours within the form, and the way the colours are twisted together in certain parts reminded me of playdough, hence the title😉

My 3rd piece in the new series RETRO is called ‘In Bloom’.
Here I also played around with pattern within the piece and I loved the challenge of giving myself limited colours to use and figure out how to get the right expressions. I also like to make work where you find something new whenever you look at it, which I feel this one has an element of. I hope you enjoy it!🌞

I have always been a big fan of everything Scandinavian 50’s, 60’s & 70’s style, including the art styles of the era. I love how it might seem simple, yet is not, and there is so much to find within it. And I love the colour pallets of the time!🌈
So I decided to do my own homage to it.
This is the first work in my new series RETRO titled ’Family’.
Family is the root of everything and where everything springs from, so I thought it was a great place to start.

My newest digital piece is call “Abula”. Originally it was suppose to be titled La Nonna, but as it progressed she just felt more like an abula. This is the second work in a series that looks to celebrate our elders.
In our culture today where youth is king, I want to highlight all the wonderful older and wiser faces, where every wrinkle tells a story. For me as an artist, I find these kind of faces far more interesting as a subject, and I love to think of the lives and stories behind each of them. I, myself, was lucky enough to have four wonderful grandparents that in each their way helped make my childhood magical and saw me into adulthood before they each departed. I feel very blessed to have had them all for so long, and to have heard their stories and learned from their lives. That is one of the biggest gifts I have been given.

Finally finished these 3 guys!
‘I Nonni’ ( The Grandfathers) is inspired by the culture in my adopted home country Italy. I love how the older generation gather together in the street, piazzas and cafes to be social. Coming from Denmark this is unfortunately not a big part of our culture and many people sit alone and lonely. We all need other people. Someone to talk to, to share our worries, happiness and lives with and we should all aim to be that someone for another person.

Couple of new sketches for paintings to come. Been away from my home for almost a month and a half without the possibility to paint.. thank God for my digital art😃 But now, I will soon be in front of the canvas in my little home studio once again, and I cannot wait! So I have use my time away to prepare new ideas for the canvas, and here are a couple of them.

Being a Dane living in Italy I love the culture of gathering in bars, streets ect of the older generation, especially coming from a country where a lot of older people are often sitting alone in their apartments longing for company.

The Soul of an Expat
Having lived most of my adult life abroad, this is my ode to where I come from,
where I’ve been & where I’m going.
Denmark. My country. My Heart. My family. But something was calling me from abroad.
So off I went on my adventures. They took me to…
The United Arab Emirates. Oh what times I had. I traveled the world as crew. I experienced many cultures and met amazing people from all over. I saw everything from aurora borealis to the pyramids of Giza, and wow did I live! And then the day came when it was time for a new beginning.
Italy. Here I found my voice as an artist. A new life. A sense of freedom. Pizza..ofcourse😃.But most importantly I found the love of my life.
Here is what I’ve learned so far.
Life is both long and short.
Some moments feel like they happened ages ago, while others feel like yesterday.
So I try to fill as much good into each year I have here on earth.
With age I am getting better at also appreciating the trivial moments that every day life has to offer.
To shut out all the noise that surround us in the world, while still staying informed.
To be really truly grateful for what I have been given, also the things we often take for granted.
I am grateful for the adventures that I had, and I cannot wait to see which adventures still lie ahead.
