November is Nutcracker prep month. This will be my 5th year as the Oklahoma Nutcracker costumer (2020 it was cancelled) and that means I’m checking, adding and sewing hundreds of hooks.

Day 3 and 4 of , completed the romper and tailored vest, getting ready to tackle the ginormous ball gown skirt! Sometimes part of my job isn’t sewing and I spent a hour or two at the Nutcracker ballet storage facility yesterday organizing and moving costumes to the dance studio for fittings tomorrow

Today I sewed the 9 pillows I cut out yesterday, sewed and fit the vest I drafted yesterday and getting ready to redo the adjustments from the fitting

To get an idea of how much sewing I do a month I’m going to do 30 days of sewing in my life this month.
Today I cut out and serged the edges of nine pillows, cut out one vest that I’m drafting a new pattern for and finished these two cubes…. I’m still not done for the day and hoping to get a few of the pillows together I cut and serged and sew the rough draft of the vest together
