Yoga with Ciara

One of my passions is my contribution to changing the narrative on life with diabetes. I strive to do whatever I can to help decrease shame, blame and stigma as it relates to diabetes.

My father passed away this past December, after living much of his life with mental illness. I know that if stigma around mental illness was less, then he would have been able to access the care he needed more easily. Similarly, if stigma surround diabetes was less, then more folks living with diabetes would be able to access care more easily.

SO- all of this is to say that I'm hitting the runway, again! This will be my second year walking in the Diabetes Canada Pump Couture Fashion Show. Pump Couture aims to illustrate that people from all walks of life live with diabetes. I hope you'll consider supporting me in my fundraising goal to help send kids from Nova Scotia to D-Camps.
