Today i’m 33 years young🥰
Celebrating another trip around the sun & very thankful for everything life throws at me whether its good or bad because its always a lesson & a reminder of the blessings i have🙌🏼 As i grow older my wishes get simpler…my wish & birthday gift from this world this year would be peace✌🏼🍉 thats literally all i want!! I hope this year carries more love, good health, stability, great opportunities & self growth🙌🏼♥️

MAJOR to the cake old days🎂

I used bake & decorate cakes for 6 years back when i used to live in Kuwait. I absolutely loved my business/job back then but decided not to pursue it when we moved to Egypt. I needed a break and wanted to do something new and different.
I still miss those days and still make cakes for my loved ones but don’t intend on selling them…or you never know maybe one day i’ll get back at it again👩🏻‍🍳

I saw this konafa recipe on the explorer page a while before ramadan...unfortunately i don’t remember the page or the foodie behind this bomb konafa🙆🏻‍♀️ all i did was read through the ingredients at the time and forgot to save the recipe!! I made a couple of tweaks to how its originally made from what i remember and i’m proud to say its one of the yummiest konafa’s out there🤤♥️

This cake might not be alot of people’s favourite but its definitely one of mine🤤 Gers Ogaily is a traditional Kuwaiti cake flavoured with cardamom & saffron for those of you who don’t know...the smell of this cake takes me back to my parents house who i miss so so much💔!! Enjoy it with a cup of arabic coffee, karak or saffron tea for that authentic gulf feel♥️ it would also be a great addition to Ramadan’s dessert table!!

This year has finally come to an end🙌🏼 It definitely had its highs and lows and taught us to never take anything for granted!!
