Officers from the community policing team attended the Dementia Cafe in Burnham On Crouch this morning. It was great to meet you all and have a chat. We had some interest in the Herbert Protocol form and also the Buddi system we offer for people living with Dementia. A great start to the day with Carly & Laura getting involved in the exercise class. Look forward to returning for the Christmas party on the Wednesday 4th December.

Burnham Community Action Panel
The Burnham Community Action Panel - previously known as the Neighbourhood Action Panel which was introduced with Neighbourhood Policing in 2008 as the local forum for communication – police and community. Community Protection Team are represented at the meetings. The changed role supported by the Town Council follows from the impact of budget cuts on service levels from Police and District Councils.
The Independent Chair continues but with backing from two serving Town Councillors as representatives – reporting back as representatives not on a separate agenda item.
The intention is to continue with bi monthly meetings which members of the public are invited to attend.
