Even without knowing her background, you can instantly feel the healing power of her music - but when you discover she's a practicing physician, it all makes perfect sense.

In addition to her medical career, Eki has an impressive musical resume, including five solo albums and performances with notable artists such as Dr. Donald Byrd, Steve Turre, Bebel Gilberto, Kitaro, and many more.

“With the exception of the Nina Simone cover song, the songs that I wrote that I have included in this playlist come from my latest 5th album, 還 (Kaeru). I had been feeling lost and didn’t know where or what home consisted of, however, through the journey of creating this album, the process has delivered answers to the exact questions that needed to be asked. 還 (Kaeru) represents the evolution of embracing and honoring what’s known deeply within; the joy of reclaiming authenticity, and how to return home to both within the self and outer world. I included the songs written by the other artists because, to me they also represent a strong sense of home whether it be motherhood (the ultimate source of home given that our very existence is birthed by our mothers rooted by Mother Earth) as emotionally conveyed by Notious’ songs or Nina Simone’s freeness which to me equates to home within oneself and the world and Marley’s finding home in faith, resistance and equal rights.”

We're thrilled to introduce our debut release, a compilation featuring 11 incredible tracks from some seriously talented Hungarian artists, and even a special gem from an Italian producer.

Many of the artists included are the ones who appeared on our listening sessions and/or Soundcloud mix series before. It’s a mix of dub, electronica, jazz, psychedelia, prog, trip-hop, hip-hop, experimental, and more. Despite the variety, each track delivers unique vibes that invite you on a journey beyond the ordinary.

Next episode of the Radio Play series is up in the cloud of sounds, provided to you by Klpflrtpr. The guy behind it is Tibor Klöpfler-Topor, who’s also known as a member of the Acideal duo (playing acid live sets), and the founder of the ‘HESSZ‘ and ‘mehet‘ event series, making him an indispensable figure in the Budapest scene.

His creation is a collection of deep psychedelic tracks with high humidity that instantly transports listeners to another tropical realm. As he described the mix himself:

“For this mix I selected some floaty soundscapes and slow paced dub records that managed to calm my dog down (which is no small feat) and made my girlfriend feel like cooking dinner in the jungle on a warm summer evening - in her words.”

BREAKING NEWS: The ‘Blue Sun’ is Rising

When we embarked on this project, it seemed like a distant dream. Now, almost two years later, that dream is becoming reality:
Our love child has grown up and is becoming a Record Label!

To mark the occasion, we’ve also refined our visual identity, which is the masterwork of Idil Emiroglu (Izole), our visionary in all things visual. Check out the stunning transformation below.

But that's not all—there are already two exciting releases in the pipeline: a compilation curated by our fresh label heads, Hanussen and Kozmo D, plus a full-length album. Stay tuned for more details, which we’ll unveil in the coming days.

Even with these new developments, we tirelessly maintain our Radio Play series on SoundCloud, host listening sessions, and stage various pop-up appearances. Our mission remains clear: to promote slow-paced music in every way possible.

A huge shout out to everyone who supported, helped, and inspired us along the way, especially the creators and curators of beautiful music.

Third Sunday of the month means: next installment of the Radio Play series is out for your listening pleasures. Jozef Varvakt compiled for us a brilliant jazzy trip, full of twists and turns.

Also known under the alias Varkvakt, Jozef has been involved in music for many years, but still remained a hidden gem of Southern Slovakia. He got into production and djing already in his teens, scoring his first release at the age of 17. While his early published work was mostly minimal techno, his scope was always much wider, which is beautifully presented in the next 48 minutes.

For the next episode of the Radio Play series we have invited another non-dj record collector lady, Edokam. When we learned that she collects mostly Indian classical music, we got instantly interested and soon asked her for a recording. In the 67-minute-long material she presents her impressively wide take on different eras and styles of Indian music, including folk music of Bengal and Rajasthan. A truly spiritual journey for the exotic explorers.

“There is a reason why Indian classical music is considered an Eternal Quest. Through this music, we are shown the path to the Divine. And to embark on that quest, you will have to surrender and sacrifice. If you want to walk this path, learn to be lonely and hungry.”

“My relationship with Indian music began a long time ago - when I heard the sound of the tabla for the very first time. I was mesmerized - found it extremely complex and spiritual - immediately wanted to know more about its history and origins. Eril Fjord needs no introduction to those involved in Budapest's experimental and weirdo music scene. With a career spanning over a decade, he has contributed to numerous projects, both solo and alongside Laurine Frost as Magamura.
