Some of my new pebble soap dish designs recently added to my Etsy shop

My pebble soap dishes are created by rolling out porcelain clay to an even thickness, cutting out the right shape and then laying the clay over pebbles I have found on beaches in North Devon. This process allows me to get organic shapes and curves from pebbles that have been shaped by the ocean. Once the clay has stiffened and can be removed without losing its shape, I can then create holes in the bottom of the dish so soapy water can drain away. The soap dishes are then fired twice in a kiln. The first firing turns the clay to ceramic at 1000 degrees. The second firing is to 1260 degrees after glaze has been added onto the ceramic for a shiny finish. I have added glaze in a block colour design with some dishes having a strip with no glaze to look like quartz line in real pebbles. They are glazed on the top surface and have been left unglazed underneath so you can feel the contrast in texture of the raw clay.

These new designs are made from Individual fungi pieces that mount on the wall separately allowing for completely unique arrangements. I have 5 different size fungi pieces cast from moulds of real fungi found in plymbridge woods. This means they have the shape and texture of real fungi. Multiple sets can create larger features on walls. I have made these fungi in white and a subtle green for a more realistic feel 🍄

🪴 I’m really happy with my new hanging planters. They are perfect for trailing plants and a great way to get some nature on the walls like living pieces of art 🌿

This piece is a large slightly concaved dish that free hangs from the wall. It is made from porcelain and I have individually moulded each piece of detail by hand and attached to the main dish

The first design comes with 1 set of 5 different pieces of porcelain fungi and the second is a much busier design with 10 pieces. Both designs are available in white, green or organic brown. I will be uploading to Etsy very soon so if your interested let me know before they’re gone!
