Kiwi Rickshaw

Aaron worked on the mechanics of the Rickshaw and Chantelle lovingly hand painted it.

As the restoration began the secrets of the Rickshaw were unearthed.

Nothing was known about the history of the Rickshaw and the only clues were the beautiful painting covering the Rickshaw.

With the help of close friends and hours of internet research the origins and story behind the Rickshaw became clear.

Behind the seat are two painting of a pointed object. This is in fact a War Memorial in Bangladesh.

The back base plate is a traditional farming sean of a man pushing a Ox cart. Possibly the original owner was from a farming area originally.

Animals like the birds and Tigers are popular imagery used throughout Bangladesh.

Beautiful flowers overed the frame. To add a little New Zealand into the rickshaws story Chantelle replaced the Roses with red Poppies in honer of the Anzacs.

After riding into the Sunset after being Married the Rickshaw began another journey.

Chantelle and Aaron wanted to help others create special memories and started Kiwi Rickshaw a company the hires this beautiful Rickshaw out for events.

So far it has been used as a photo prop at indian festivals, been part of a holiday display, cycled a happy couple into their pre wedding celebration and helped fundraise for special courses.
