Nikao: To Be Victorious
Providing a platform for the Kingdom
When the wandering was finally over, and the mourning of Aaron was completed, the Israelites were once again ready to enter the Promised Land. But they ran into some issues. First, the King of Arad comes and attacks the Israelites, capturing some of them in a raid. And then on top of that, the Israelite's plan of entry into the Promised Land had changed, adding weeks if not months to the travel time!

All actions come with consequences. Some are good, others not so good. The consequences of not obeying and trusting God for the leaders of the Israelites would cost them to not step into the Promised Land.

Jesus dives deep into one of humanity’s biggest problems, hating those who are not like you. But he emerges with a Kingdom practice: Love even your enemies with undeserved goodness, just like your heavenly Father does with you!
The Israelites had finally gotten themselves to the border of the Promised Land, they even sent spies into the land to check the best routes. However, they were not allowed to enter the land, instead they were sent right back in the direction from which they came. This would begin the wandering in the Wilderness for a total of 40 years.

Digging into an often misunderstood passage “turn the other cheek”; we look at Jesus’ call, not to be weak and passive, but to be powerfully direct in order to overcome the vicious cycle of vengeance.
The fear that the Israelites had was real. And it was logical! Yet, despite the fear they should have looked to God to be the one that would bring them through their trails. However, they turned their backs to God and trusted in themselves and their own abilities when it came to conquering the Land of Canaan
Welcome to the History of the Bible!
The vicious cycle of lies and hypocrisy threaten to bring collapse to our relationships and institutions. But Jesus has the solution: tell the truth and live with integrity.
We don’t have to live stuck in the status quo or settle for the “same old, same old.” As followers of Jesus, there is ALWAYS MORE, fresh work that God wants to do in our life that is personal and powerful.
The spies would return from their journey of exploring the Promised Land, with a great report of the land and its produce… However, they wouldn’t remember the promises that God gave them. Instead the spies would cause the people to turn against Moses and ultimately God. Why? Because of fear. Fear of the people that lived in the land!

It's an interesting question. What happens when we don't honor God by trusting what He says? Does it affect us? Does it affect those around us?

He is not here; he has risen! Luke 24:6
To restore humanity to Himself, Jesus paid the highest price. The crucifixion was history’s most agonizing moment, yet Jesus Christ, the God of heaven and earth, found joy in knowing it was unto redeeming your story, and rebuilding intimate connection with you. It was this delight, in pleasing the Father and restoring right relationship with mankind, that sustained His strength and resolve to fulfill heaven’s plans—even in the midst of His great suffering. Hebrew 12:2 (TPT) says, “We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because His heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be His, He endured the agony of the Cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!”
The Land of Canaan had been promised to Abraham hundreds of years earlier, and for the first time in a long time, the descendents of Abraham were back. Not just to be a wanderer in the land, but to conquer the land and its people.
