Bagsy
I’m Kelly & I’m a crafty little sew & sew...
I enjoy sticking my fingers together whilst gluing
And here we have the first for the pod 💙
My labels have arrived! Hoping to make my first bag(s) this weekend!
I have just created a Mors Bag pod - super excited to start sewing these bags and donating! First up is ❤️
A few months ago when I was going through my sister’s fabric stash I had to this gorgeous African wax print fabric. At the time I had no idea what I’d use it for (probably lining for a bag) but I knew I just had to have it.
Fast forward to last night and I was panicking trying to find a big enough piece of fabric for my sewing class today, saw this and thought it would be perfect… I don’t think I was wrong!

I think I’ve mentioned before the amazing stash of fabric my sister got for free - well I just had to this jersey fabric as soon as I saw it 💙
I made one of these wrap dresses at a workshop a few month ago and absolutely loved it - really easy pattern to follow and I’ve not seen anyone that it does not flatter! So I thought it would be the perfect make for this given that royal blue is the chosen colour!

My work colleague is going on maternity leave soon and when the email made the rounds asking for contributions for a gift I said making something!
So I made this backpack for her to keep all of her baby essentials in. I adore this fabric and colour combination - I have loads left so looking forward to making some more!

When I finished my jumpsuit at I said getting it on Dolly (my mannequiné) to get some pics for .
Only problem is Dolly doesn’t have legs, just a single pole, so I can’t get it on her 🙄 so instead, here I am modelling my creation! The fit is much better when I don’t have leggings on underneath 😂

It was so nice getting share something I love with my sister and I was so proud of what she created (and that she finished in the time frame!) especially given she has only recently started sewing ❤️

The little niece (4 years old) came round for some Aunty Kelly time this morning and when asked what she wanted to do she said doing some sewing!
She helped me cut out the pattern pieces for this dress and helped sew a matching headband but when it came to making the actual dress she was more interested in trying out all the different stitches on my M200 (on scraps thankfully!).
After she (sulkily) left, I finished off this beauty and can’t wait to see her in it!

There’s a couple of bits that can be improved on next time I make one but I’m already on the hunt for some nice jersey fabric to have another go!

I’ve been quiet - the day job has been busy and I’ve not had much time to sew. I have made this beauty though!
has a charity dinner and will be running around selling raffle tickets and taking donations so she reached out to a bag the would be big enough for an A5 clipboard, card machine, raffle tickets, a load of cash and somewhere separate for her own phone and purse… oh and she wanted it to still look a bit dressy!
We settled on my go-to Hillside tote, with an extra inside pocket and made it out of this gorgeous suedette for a bit of a dressier look and feel. Apart from the interfacing not wanting to stick, I loved working with the suedette so glad I bought extra to have a play with!

When I was going through my ever growing fabric supply and saw this gorgeous lemon and cherry blossom I knew exactly which make i needed to it for!
I’ve named this one Rhubarb & Custard because the colour combo reminds me of my favourite Squashies sweets 😋 this is one of my favourite bag styles to make (I have 3 myself!) - perfect cross-body with loads and loads of room & pockets!
