Exhausting work...
This is exhausting... | 1966 Chevy C10 Flowmaster 50 Series Delta Flow was my choice for mufflers. After hours of research I made a decision on what I liked best from the info I gathered.
FYI... you might even find similar cheaper on Fleabay... but this guy still lists his USA made ones for $85 shipped.
60-66 Cab Corner 6x9 Speaker Brackets Although not 73-87 related, I have decided to fabricate and sell 60-66 cab corner 6x9 speaker brackets for our older GM brothers. Just like the 73-87 cab corner 6x9 speaker brackets, these brackets provide GM truck owners with the opportunity to upgrade the stereo system in their truck by allowing...

Swiching it up...
One of these things is not like the other. BWD vs ACDelco. Out with the BWD and in with the new.
C10 Club KY keychains are being manufactured. Will be available for purchase soon.
See the product page (link below) for purchase. Unavailable until order has completed. I will then change the "Out of Stock" to quantity available. Should be available for purchase within a few weeks of this post date.
Price will be $8 each with free shipping to Lower 48 US residents.
When I'm at any meets, I will have any available keychains with me and you can make a cash purchase.
No limit on purchase quantity, but this will be a limited run of 50 only. Once they are gone I highly doubt they will be made available again.
I did add the purchase URL on the back so if people ask where you got 'em, you can simply show them the back.

My new shirts are in. Pretty decent.
Hope to have these made soon.
Will be a limited run of only 50 or 100. I seriously doubt that they will be ready by Christmas. When/if they are, I will have a link here to purchase them from my website.
Will probably be $7 each with free shipping on the first keychain and 50¢ additional shipping for more than one.
It's looking like the KY plate will be the design I have made.
The levels show the 'raised' (3D) portions of the keychain, Level 1 is the base, level 2 is raised on top of level 1 etc. 'Front' and 'Back' is how your logo will look, the 'levels' breakdown is what is raised.

This thing is great in winter also... Circulates the heat well.
If you want to keep front parking / marker light only operation and also have the parking / marker light illuminate during headlight operation, I suggest a safer and neater way than a jumper wire at the switch, is to wire in a simple relay as shown in the attached image.

cool, I might need to get one of these for the 66c10...

Wrapped 'n' stitched in gray thread with Baseball stitching.
It was a challenge on this 13-1/2" 4-spoke wheel, but turned out well. I didn't get the first 1/4 of the wheel quite tight enough for my liking, but I can and might re-stitch it later...
This brand makes different sizes in diameter and wheel thickness to fit a larger selection of wheels. This is the third one I've done from them.
A little more electrical wizardry done... DRL (daytime running lights) relay installed... Headlights come on at ignition start and delay off at ignition off. AC installed (pic) and working...
Intermittent wipers installed and working as described! Off, 8 sec delay, 5 sec delay, 3 sec delay, low, high. Washer-low.

Finally got around to finishing the electric fan install write up.

Electric Fan | 1966 Chevy C10 While there are MANY after market electric fans available, I knew from a previous LS build that I could find what I needed in the local scrapyard. The fan shroud on the HHR fan was an excellent fit on the radiator.
Finally got around to installing the rear control arm bushings. Much easier to do with these Quickjacks. A little heat and a little more oomph and the nuts loosened right up.
Wiper upgrade.

I Can See Clearly Now... | 1966 Chevy C10 Actually, I could see fine before, but the original wiper arms were slightly worn keeping them from having enough tension to keep the blade tight against the windshield. I had installed new blade refills from Anco. N-13R. They fit and worked wonderfully with the original narrow wiper blades. T ...

Swapping shoes around. We'll wear these for a while.
Got my new plate last week. It's OK, but not very vibrant in color. I knew it wouldn't be super great cause I've used Buildasign before, but thought I'd try them again. Maybe I'll just make my own with vinyl lettering.
That actually worked out better than I thought it would. These stickers are thin enough that they allowed for the embossed emblem to show thru. And the sticker was sized so the logo fit directly over the embossment. 66c10.com
Got my custom printed stickers for my wheel cap centers today!

3-5 drop... I think I'll go with 3-3 instead... 3-3 is about what it was before I put in new coils... 66c10.com
Found a heck of a deal on Ebay for an open box Yukon axle kit. Couldn't pass it up.
A previous owner swapped the rear to a 5", 5 lug axle, but they used the incorrect axle shafts. The swapped in 31.5" shafts making the 3/4" too long. It worked, but caused the drum to sit away from the brakes so that only 2/3 of the shoes were touching the drum. Not ideal.
I was going to have to change them out at some point soon anyway. Since I was working on the rear suspension I thought I'd do some shopping for the axle. Found it on Ebay for about 75% of Summit price in an open box deal.
Axle shafts, lugs, bearings, seals, drums.
Just noticed something wrong in this pic. I'll fix that tomorrow...
On the road... again...

On the road... again... | 1966 Chevy C10 From first startup there was a problem. I thought I solved the issue or partially when I found the rocker arm issue. A replacement engine was the best resolve.
Silly me. I thought this would be quick and easy. Apparently these are (were) original bolts. 54 years of rust 'n' gunk.
Replacing the heated coils with new 3-5 springs, retainers and shocks. New adjustable trac bar while I'm at it.
