P3 -> P15 -> P9 🤨
We had great speed today and a podium finish was in reach until I got pushed wide into the gravel… Fell back to P15 and recovered to P9 🤷🏻♂️
Not the way we wanted to end our strong weekend. Especially considering the potential we had but that’s racing sometimes. Nevertheless I’m still happy with this weekend after my maiden overall podium in PCCD and the team championship we took yesterday! 💪🏼
Congrats to my teammate for taking the Pro-Am title today, you deserved it!
Yess!! Finally!! PCCD Podium in the final weekend of the season 🤩
What made the podium a bit sweeter was that I got to share it with my friends Larry ten Voorde & Loek Hartog . Because of our team GP-Elite 1-2-3 finish we also became Team Champion of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland🏆 . Massive congrats to the whole team and everyone involved!
Tomorrow we have another shot at a second trophy, ready to send it! 🚀
Yes! Starting P3 & P4 going into the weekend! 😎
Great way to start the final races of the season. We had basically no testing in dry conditions so we had to adapt quickly. Very happy with the session and thanks to the team for the amazing car during qualifying! 🚀
Let’s keep the momentum going and end the season on a high!
Next up: Finale of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland
Ready to head back to the Hockenheimring for the final round of the PCCD. We had good pace when we visited this track earlier in the season so we're aiming to end the season on a high! 😎
DNF in the final race, just not our weekend…
At least we get to reset and rest after back to back race weekends since halfway through May 😁😴
Next up: PCCD Finale at the Hockenheimring 🇩🇪
Race 1 P10 🤨
Started off well with good pace and some nice overtakes. Eventually, while running in P6 I locked up my right front tire and had to avoid the gravel... Lost some places in the process and recovered to P10🤷🏻♂️
Seems that we have good pace so tomorrow we will have another shot starting from P7👌🏼
Decent first day at the Red Bull Ring 🇦🇹
FP went well with P1. Qualifying was a bit more challenging because of a bent steering wheel.
Race 1 - P9 & Race 2 - P7
Our best lap was within two tenths of pole position, showing how competitive and tight packed this field is. We had some issues with the steering during qualifying but those will be solved for tomorrow’s race. Looks like we'll get some Dutch weather tomorrow ☔️ so we'll be in our element 😁l
🇪🇸 -> 🇦🇹
Straight from Barcelona to testing at the Red Bull Ring. Car feels solid so far, P10, P3 & P5 in the test sessions. Ready for the penultimate round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland 🚀
P2 in the 24H of Barcelona! 🏆 🇪🇸
Fair to say that this was physically, by far the hardest challenge I ever experienced in my entire life. Doing only double stints the entire race and losing 2 to 3 KG of bodyweight each stint because of the high temperatures in combination with the humidity made it a real tough race. Because of this I also missed out on the podium ceremony due to a trip to the medical center after the finish 🥵
It looked like we were going to win the race with ease until a code 60 in last 30 min of the race which dropped all the advantage we had of our strategy. Shame, but it is part of the game we play! Big thank you to the whole Red Ant Racing crew for having me and their continuesly hard work all week long!
Now we prepare for the next challenge: Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland at the Red Bull Ring 🇦🇹
Put the car on pole position in class by +1 sec in wet conditions and P2 overall against the gt3’s 💪🏼
The guys are working hard to fix the car for the night practice after that dive bomb we faced in qualifying.
Thanks to the team for the mega car and the hard work. Now we just need to maintain our position for 24 hours 😜
Next up: Night Practice
Let’s bring it on 💪🏼
No time to rest, next up: 24 Hours of Barcelona 🇪🇸
Something different than the usual sprint races this weekend, as we’re heading to Spain to participate in the 24 Hours of Barcelona thanks to team 🙏🏼 My teammates will be .redant
They are currently leading the standings and could be crowned champions this weekend.
Fingers crossed it goes just as well as my last 24 hour race in Dubai where we managed to take the win. The goal here will be no different with the championship for the team in sight 👊🏻
P5 in today’s race! 😎
Finally a satisfying result again after the bad luck we had! After a great start from P7 to P5 we were able to hold position for the rest of the race behind my teammate Loek, showing some strong pace. Thanks to the team for the great car this weekend, we keep pushing 💪🏼
Feeling ready for the rest of the season and a nice new challenge coming up next week👀
DNF in race 1, tire failure 😫
We were making our way up towards the front nicely until I got a slow puncture which eventually resulted in a tire blow-out.
Very unfortunate because again a good result was taken away from us by something out of our hands. Frustrating, but tomorrow is a new race with new chances starting from P7. Let’s leave the Sachsenring om a high! 🚀
Back at the Sachsenring for the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland 🇩🇪
Eager to push 110% after our bad luck last weekend and fight for some good points in the championship this time around. Let’s see what we can do 👊🏻
DNF in Monza😓🇮🇹
Not the way we wanted to end the season. While running in P4 my teammate unfortunately crashed into me. Surprisingly I could continue the race in P3. But after the contact my steering was bend heavily. I tried to continue with everything I could but the damage on the car got worse lap by lap. At one point it wasn’t possible to drive the car anymore and I had to retire. Such a shame as a podium was in reach today…
This was the end of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup season. We had both good and challenging times. The highs were high and the lows were very low. Thanks to the team GP-Elite that always kept pushing no matter what. Now it’s time to finish the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland season on a high.
Sachsenring next week! 🇩🇪
All set for raceday 🇮🇹
Practice went pretty decent for the little experience I had at this track. Especially after half the grid got their laptimes deleted 😬
During qualifying I got blocked when going for my fastest lap and after that the peak of the tires was gone already... Shame, as we really had the potential today! Nevertheless, starting P5 after penalty’s from others. We have a mega car so the fight is on for the podium tomorrow ⚔️
Ready for the finale at Monza 🇮🇹
The Porsche Mobil1 Supercup season is already almost over, let’s send it one final time this weekend 🚀
Zandvoort ✅
Had a good opening lap and gained a lot of places. After the safety car restart I made a small mistake into turn 1 which cost me quite some places since the pack was so tight.
Yesterday was great and today was more challeging, that’s racing 🙏🏼 In the end we have a lot of positives to take from this weekend into the final round at Monza next week 🇮🇹
P6 Overall & P2 Rookie!🤘🏼
After a tricky wet qualifying session earlier this morning we were starting from P10 for our home race🇳🇱.
Today’s race was full of action with hard and good battles throughout the whole race. We climbed our way up lap by lap and eventually came over the line in P6 and P2 Rookie, converting our speed in dry conditions into a solid result. I’m happy with today’s result and want to thank the team GP-Elite for all the hard work! It was really amazing to drive in front of all the Dutch fans out here as well🦁.
Tomorrow we will try it all over again with some potential interesting weather, really looking forward to that!⛈️💪🏼
P5 for the final race of the weekend! 💪🏻
Happy with the speed we had this round, thanks to the team for the hard work & mega car. Let’s keep the momentum going for the next two rounds of the at the Dutch Grand Prix! This one will be extra special as my brother will also be my teammate for these races 🤝🏻
P7 in Race 1 ✌️
Had a good start but got a bit unlucky with the positioning on the opening lap, lost a place and got stuck behind a car for the rest of the race. Fortunately we were able to put on a good move after a long battle, just before the safety car came out.
Car felt very good so hopefully we can get an even better result starting from P5 tomorrow 😎
Free Practice & Qualifying done and dusted
A mixed bag today at the Lausitzring. Felt really good in the car but due to traffic in qualifying I couldn’t improve on my second set of tires which prevented me from an ideal starting position.
P8 for race 1 and P5 for race 2, still all to play for ✌🏻
Nevertheless, a good feeling for the rest of the weekend and ready to send it for Race 1 tomorrow. Thanks to the team for the rocketship today 🚀
Back to racing at the Lausitzring this weekend 😎
After a short weekend off it is time for round 5 off Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland.
Let’s aim for some good results again👊🏼
P12 ➡️ P7 in the final race of the weekend
After another mega start it was a pretty chaotic race, with the safety car having to come out twice. In the end we managed to cross the line in P7 after some tough racing. Our position is still provisional due to all the chaos on-track, but I nevertheless enjoyed racing in this rain.
Let’s take all the positives from this weekend into the next round at the Lausitzring in two weeks time!
Decent points today with a P9 finish!
We were able to work our way up from P12 to P9 after a strong start. Afterwards it was pretty difficult to overtake around here. With some additional pressure from behind, we had to settle into this position.
High chances of rain tomorrow, typical dutch weather so let's see if we can make up some more positions again 😎
Not the qualifying we expected at the Nürburgring…
P12 for both races is not what we were aiming for after the strong test sessions. Nothing I can change… Now the focus is on the races and only looking to go forward from there! 👊🏻
Another day another raceweek
This time we’re off to (a rainy) Nürburgring. Taking a break from the and back to the
Hopefully we can leave our struggles from the last rounds behind us and start fresh.
Let’s push this weekend 👊🏻
Another very tough weekend for the team…
I don't like to blame the problems we face on external circumstances other than myself. However the past 3 weekends have been incredibly challenging for so many reasons.
We are far from the pace and results we are aiming for. We have to find a solution for that which has been difficult so far, but we are working hard at it. Let’s keep pushing and our time will definitely come again!🙏🏼
P3 Rookie & P11 overall 🏆
Good damage limitation in the race yesterday as we maximised the result with the package we had. I’m satisfied with the result since we ended up on the rookie podium after starting way in the back. But overall, I’m not really happy with the weekend as we were aiming higher than just getting on the podium.
We know what the issue is but unfortunately haven’t found the solution yet. It was a challenging weekend but I’m sure we’ll get on top of it 🙏🏻. We know we can do better so we keep pushing together for the next round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at Spa-Francorchamps in just a few days time. Big thanks to team GP-Elite for all the hard work this weekend, we’ll bounce back! 👊🏻
Qualifying Day ✔️
Not the result me or the team were hoping for. The changes to the setup didn’t seem to work out the way we were hoping for and as such I struggled a lot during this session. Additionally I wasn’t able to put the lap together the way I wanted to, so P17 overall and P7 Rookie it is…
Tonight we’ll analyse the data and make some changes to the car to hopefully find some more pace for the race tomorrow! 👊🏻
