It is definitely a different vibe at the market - masks make it impossible to smile at our guests, no more sampling (which has really hurt our ability to share our product with new people), the RAIN (but hey, we’re used to that ☔️🤪)!

Happy Valentines’s Day!! 💕

❤️VALENTINES DAY❤️ ORGANIC FLOURLESS HOT CACAO CAKE:
• 4 ounces organic dark chocolate morsels
• 1 stick (1/2 cup) organic unsalted butter
• 3/4 cup organic coconut sugar
• 3 large organic free range eggs
• 1/2 cup Hot Cacao plus additional for sprinkling
• Optional additions: organic almond or peanut butter (1/4 cup)

Preheat oven to 375°F and butter an 8-inch round baking pan. Line bottom with a round of wax paper and butter paper.
Chop dark chocolate into small pieces. In a double boiler or metal bowl set over a saucepan of barely simmering water melt chocolate with butter, stirring, until smooth. Remove top of double boiler or bowl from heat and whisk coconut sugar into chocolate mixture. Add eggs and nut butter if using, whisk well. Sift 1/2 cup Hot Cacao powder over chocolate mixture and whisk until just combined. Pour batter into pan and bake in middle of oven 25 minutes, or until top has formed a thin crust. Cool cake in pan on a rack 5 minutes and invert onto a serving plate.
Dust cake with additional Hot Cacao powder and serve with berries. (Cake keeps, after being cooled completely, in an airtight container, 1 week.)

The Point Ruston Winter Market is Saturday and Sunday (we will be there Sunday) and will have over 40 local vendors under cover (ie get out of the rain)! Point Ruston is an amazing place—there’s an ice skating rink for the kids, a cool, a globally-inspired shop run by a gal I went to elementary school with (Purple Peacock), and Two Town Pub and Cafe has the best food if you want to sit down and watch the game. (Say hi to Jeff and Kelly, the owners and my big brother and sister-in-law!)

This will be our last weekend of Farmers Markets of 2019 (Proctor Farmers Market on Saturday), and we’d love to give you a big hug and thank you for the support this year.
