Revisiting these little beauties, all hand painted in watercolour, completely unique, these little cards are blank for any occasion and lots of folk buy them to frame, priced at £3 each (postage extra) and lots of different colours.
Butterfly anyone? I enjoyed painting this one.
Repurposed painting made into pretty gift tags, summer wedding gift wrap perhaps?
Friday fish day? A couple of koi (well my representation) swimming in an orange border and available as a cheerful card or to pop in a frame and put on your wall/desk/shelf. Handpainted by me and totally unique as I won’t make prints from my work.
Latest little hand painted card, watercolour and acrylic on watercolour paper.
Postcard art anyone? Went shopping yesterday for a new paintbrush, couldn’t resist a little pad of watercolour postcards, so I’ve been playing 😁 is postcard art even a thing? I hope so because im just about to pop this in my shop.
Here it is in all its glory, complete with the original flower from my garden, now SOLD but I’ve loved painting it so much I may have to paint another one. Thank you to everyone who commented earlier, very much appreciated x
Happy rainy Thursday to you all. A Question for you all if I may? Just finishing this little hellebore doodle but struggling to decide what background mount colour to use, so please swipe to see my options and let me know your thoughts? Swipe to see the evolution of one of my little paintings too if you’re interested.
Morning lovelies, hope you are all well and happy, todays Insta offering is a rather fetching purple anemone flower, ink outline and watercolour, absolutely love this one and almost didn’t add it to my because I love it so much, I’m sure I’ve asked before but how many of my crafty friends want to keep their makes sometimes?
Anyway, I’m off to paint something, have a lovely day all 💜💚
Hey all 👋 I hope you are all having a good day? I’m not painting much again just now as the knitting is taking over a bit 🤣 anyhow I did manage to photograph this little daisy card which I’m just about to add to my shop. I would have liked to pick some daisies to use in the photos but they are all hiding just now. My Mum always used to say that the pink on the edges of daisy petals was where the fairies had kissed them in the night and made them blush 🥰
Morning lovelies, happy Friday. Today I’m giving you some more sunny daffodils to brighten your day. Just listed in my . These are from photos of my allotment daffodils too, we inherited quite a few different blooms from the previous allotment holder, what a lovely surprise they were, what lovely surprises have you all had? Anyhow, hope you are all have a wonderful weekend whatever you have planned. 🌼💛🌟
Well thank goodness February is here at last! No paintings from me today just a couple of hats, both knitted in Drops Nepal, gorgeous yarny goodness it is, I’ve tweaked the red one a bit as fancied some stripes but the brown one is as the pattern, although I’ve just ordered more yarn from the lovely and have been working out a new pattern for the colour work as I want it to be more like a traditional ‘chullo’ but I love the style and am honestly a bit addicted to knitting colour work now. I may even go so far as trying a real fair isle pattern at some point in the future, anyway, I’ve waffled enough, hope you have all enjoyed the sunshine today. Hasn’t it been glorious?
Tulips anyone, I know it’s nearly Valentine’s Day and I’ve already done hearts but wouldn’t Tulips be just as delightful? I’m just grateful for any flowers at this time of year.
Anyhow another cheery card just listed in my would make a fab Mothers day card as well as a spring birthday. Don’t forget I can write any card and post direct to your recipient too if you’d like.
A late spring flower today, ‘Hyacinthoides non scripta’ or English Blue bells to you and I, were so lucky to have so many here in the UK that we have around 50 percent of the worlds population of Bluebells, how incredible is that. Anyway I hope you like them, I’ll be adding this one to my later today or tomorrow.
How is everyone after last nights storm? Hope you are all safe?
My snowdrops are doing what snowdrops do and just getting on with flowering and I’ve finally added the watercolour card to my shop - link in bio as always if anyone is interested.
Question for you all if you’d spare a minute, would you prefer to pay a slightly higher price (95p) for a card and have postage included? Or do you prefer price plus postage? I’m pondering ‘free postage’ which everyone knows really isn’t but I don’t want to put people off with a higher headline price. All suggestions appreciated if you’ve read this far.
Todays little drawing is a delightful daffodil, I’m not getting much of a response here on Instagram these days so am guessing I’m behind the times with what were expected to do to keep an algorithm happy, 😆 not helped by the folk who follow to then unfollow??? What’s that all about, if you like what I do and want to follow that’s fabulous, if you don’t then just don’t, it’s not hard surely 🙄 anyway, enjoy a cheery Daffodil, hopefully we’ll see some for real soon.
Happy chilly Wednesday to you all 😊 next up on the grid is a few wee snowdrops, apologies they’re not botanically accurate but I drew them from memory and that wasn’t my intention. Anyhow, I love the simplicity of this ink sketch, which is just about to be added to my shop.
I’m thinking of a little series of ink and watercolour sketches, although I’ve really got the knitting bug just now, what are you all working on? I’m all for anything cosy today.
Good morning lovely people, bit flippin chilly here today, but, the sun is shining at last so I’ve managed to get some photos done ready to get some new cards into my little shop.
First up is a simple trio of one of my favourite early flowers, the tiny primrose, so delicate yet so tough and I adore them. What’s your favourite flower? I can never choose and the answer usually depends on what flower I’m looking at when I am asked, anyway, enjoy your day and don’t forget to stop and smell the flowers.
Hope you are all seeing some much needed sunshine today? It’s glorious here but blimey that wind is bracing! Anyhow today I’m just leaving this little beauty here, a tiny ACEO ( artist trading card, measuring a tiny 2.5 x3.5 inch) mounted in an antique white mount and ready for a standard 5”x7” frame of your choice. Watercolour background with ink pen seed heads and such in silhouette. This one and a few others I’ve yet to re photograph are all available in my Folksy shop (link in bio) if anyone wants to see them.
Not painting or drawing, but still art I reckon? Meet the ‘doddle socks’ knit in DK ‘unicorn farts’ yarn from sock pattern courtesy of
I made my first ever sock last summer and my mission this year is to try some pattern socks now I’m more confident with handling dpn’s
Hello all and what a difference a bit of sunshine makes? It’s been lovely here this morning, the sun actually shone for the first time in what feels like months, I was so pleased to see it that I was inspired to paint a rather jolly rainbow 🌈 card. Now I’ve gone from monochrome to full on in your face rainbow maybe it’s time for something more subtle perhaps 🤔 what do you love most plain and subtle or colourful and snazzy? Have a wonderful day whatever you’re up too!
Hello lovelies, well I promised a bit of colour and never one to disappoint folk, here’s a wee bit of colour, lots of purple love hearts and a sprinkling of gold, these were quite popular last year so thought I’d give them another whirl. I’ve just listed this one in my I really need to get my creative hat on again as my shop is starting to look a little bit empty thanks to some recent orders from some lovely repeat customers, I’m eternally grateful for your continued support.
