It’s safe to say the Panthers have forgiven Liam Martin for any missed opportunities during last night’s Bunnies-Panthers’ clash, after his heroics in the final three minutes of the game. With 2 points down, Martin pushed through the Rabbit’s defensive line to score the match winning try. The first match winner Martin has ever made in the NRL. No surprise that Rabbitohs coach, Jason Demetriou, felt a familiar sense of frustration with yet another close loss. In the post-match interview, he pointed out weaknesses in their defence. In regards to Martin’s try, Demetriou said “That’s a tackle that we should make and we don’t make it.”. This win has sealed the second minor premiership for the Panthers in three years. Can they take it all the way? Comment below!👇

Ricky Stuart has been put on blast for harsh words directed at Panthers player Jaeman Salmon after Saturday night’s match. Salmon was seen retaliating to a tackle by kicking at Tom Starling’s groin. Although it was not clear whether it was an intentional act by Salmon, he was put on report and fined $1000 for the incident. In a post-game press conference, Stuart called out Salmon personally stating “He was a weak gutted dog as a kid and he hasn't changed now. He is a weak gutted dog person now”. It is rumoured this outburst stemmed from a conflict that occurred between Salmon and Stuart’s son 11-years before. Many are outraged by the conduct of Stuart. The NRL are considering a two-game suspension and a ban from all press conferences for the remainder of the season. Do you think Raiders should take this further? Comment below 👇

Is Nathan Cleary’s suspension a blessing in disguise? According to Billy Slater Cleary’s 5-week (6 game) suspension for a lifting tackle will benefit Panthers in the long run. Although the suspension may hurt Penrith in the short term, with both Cleary and Luai out until week one of the finals, it is essentially protecting their best player from injury before finals. Slater also states that even without Cleary and Luai, their finals slot won’t be at risk, given their current position on the board. Do you agree this has worked in Panthers’ favour? Comment below!

The Storms search for outside back reinforcements may be over! Storm coach Craig Bellemay has his sights set on Tigers high flyer David Nofoaluma, and look to secure him for the remainder of the 2022 season. Nofoaluma has been a stand out for the Wests this season and has been a reliable try scorer for the struggling Tigers side. Melbourne have been struggling since the start of the season with injuries to their outside backs, and are currently in the midst of a 4 game losing streak, which is almost unheard of the Melbourne Storm! Do you think Craig’s prayers will be answered with the signing of the Tigers star?
