Today we blessed our new 6 man (Matahina). She has been named ,"Honu" (Tahitian) which means Sea Turtle. Sea turtles are sacred animals to the Polynesian people. Sea turtles are considered to be a sign of good luck and longevity 🛶 🌺 😀

Congratulations to all.our paddlers who attended the 2023 National Sprints. An awesome event with 790 competitors across 38 clubs and over 180 races. Silver medals won and some lucky competitors have qualified for the world's next year
Just a reminder that there will be no paddeling on this Friday, Saturday or Sunday (17th to 19th) due to all coaches and committee members being absent at the National Sprints.

On Friday we welcomed Bruce Saunders (Labour member for Maryborough) and Harmony out to our club compound. We talked about the history of our club and the amount of growth there has been in recent years. We spoke about our vision for the future and how we as a club can move forward in our quest to represent the Burrum Dustrict in years to come
On behalf of the Burrum District Outriggers, we wish to express our deepest condolences to Dave's family and the Bayside Outrigger Canoe Club. Losing someone close is a tragedy

Today we had the privilege of taking George Seymour, Mayor of the Fraser Coast Regional Council for a paddle. We paddled out to the first marker, followed by a race between the 2 boat ramps. Thanks again George for coming out to Burrum and hearing about our club and what we have to offer the Burrum Heads locals.
What an awesome weekend spent at the SQ Zone Chsmpionships at Rainbow Beach.

Despite the rain we had a terrific turn out for our come and try day with the staff and family from the Burrum Tavern. A great morning was had by all followed by a cooked breakfast. Thankyou Paul for doing a great job on the barbeque.

We had a great turnout at our come and try this Australia Day. It was lovely to meet you all and we hope to see you all again soon
This Australia Day the Burrum District Outriggers (Bullrays) will be having a come and try day down at Lions Park from 7.30am onwards. Fun for the whole family. We welcome everyone from juniors 8 years + to adults, adaptive paddlers, novices & elite. All equipment and instruction provided on the day.
Please bring hat, sunscreen & water.

Day 3 of racing at the National Sprints. Our Platinum ladies came away with a silver medal and we'll done to our Golden Women for coming 4th 👏👏👏
Day 2 of racing - our Platinum ladies came 3rd in their turn race. Congratulations to our Senior Masters men and women and Golden Masters Mixed teams who all made it through to the finals.
