This project was, by far, the most challenging and provided the most learning of new skills. 22+ hours for an 11" tall figure gives a good idea of the difficulty level on this one. Making the wool feathers took the greatest amount of time but what a nice result!

He's really coming along! Today I learned how to make wool curly. I'm going to make some locks to beef him up a bit. It's difficult to see the individual tail feathers so I'm going to add some contrasting feathers tomorrow. So much learning!

I got a good start on the head today. Still some work to do on the face tomorrow. This weekend will be all about felting wool feathersfor his tail😁. I'll keep you posted!

This 12x12 piece is a gift inspired by the digital work of Nahed. It's much harder for me to felt consistent dots than it would have been to paint. Over 30 hours to complete.

This is the latest piece I made for someone special. His neck, legs and feet are wired and posable. The rest is entirely felted.

2D felt painting on denim! Lots of hours went into this one! For my next jacket I'm just felting the image and allowing the denim to serve as the background. Stay tuned!
