I get asked about Pennsylvania’s Cyber Charter School funding frequently. So, I though I’d share this from our School Board President Erin Jablonski. We are currently spending close to $1,000,000 dollars on Cyber Charter Schools. Parents have the right to send their children to whatever school is best for their child, but it should not be at the detriment of students who remain in their home district.

Pa.’s latest bid to regulate cyber charter schools would lower tuition payments, boost transparency Democrats and Republicans agree that Pa.’s rules for cyber charter schools are outdated, but they differ on what changes to make.

Consider joining us for this parent presentation by Dr. Beth Sanborn on drug prevention at Lewisburg Area High School on October 9, 2023 at 6:30PM. In this program, parents will learn indicators of poor lifestyle choices and develop skills to help identify a child approaching a crisis, so we can intervene before the crisis occurs.

In the evening on March 11, 2024 from 4:30-8 pm, the CSIU will be hosting a parent and family engagement night for any of your students and families called Ready, Set, Explore! The CSIU has partnered with WITF and AETNA. There will be hands on activities, free giveaways, Word Girl, intervention screenings, and robotics activities. There is a QR code for registration through WITF, though registration is not required. A food truck will be on site in the evening as well. Moser promoted to superintendent LEWISBURG — Applause erupted across the Lewisburg Area School District school board meeting room Thursday as a new superintendent was selected to lead the district.

As of October 1, 2022, and through the end of the 2022-2023 School Year, School Breakfast Meals will be free for all students. This comes as a result of the new Pennsylvania program making school breakfast free for all students. This change is only applicable to the School Breakfast Program in the 2022-2023 School Year and does not affect a student’s eligibility status for lunch (free, reduced, or paid).

Lewisburg school district, union reach agreement LEWISBURG — Lewisburg Area School District (LASD) directors Thursday evening gave a nod of approval to a four-year agreement with the Lewisburg Area Education Association.
