Gonna be a long winter
After a 2+ year process of dealing with a bum shoulder I finally got it fixed. Was told it was a torn labrum from an mri but the surgeon found a rotator cuff that was a mess too.
Just glad that I should be out of pain and discomfort after 2 years
Road to recovery starts!

With starting my 2023 deck season last week I still have some 2022 decks to share. This one was a beast. Also good thing I had a great supervisor on site

Having your dropped valley rafter fit perfectly on the first go is a definite way to end the week. Timber frame and hand cut roof is taking shape quickly.

Some trusses being swung last weekend with and At the harcourt project. Tough to find a good angle and have the batteries last

Started the next project with . It’s a two storey addition. The first step means chopping the roof off! This is my first big project with that I’ll be there from start to finish and I can’t wait.

The ceiling is finally done! Well 98%. Still have to cap over the hip rafters. Pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Got the ceiling tongue and groove cedar up. Tomorrow will be onto the vaulted areas.

Ceiling shiplap install started today at an addition out in kemptville.

Sometimes measuring an inside mitre to inside mitre is much more accurate but marking it out is another thing.
Here’s a trick I came up with to accurately mark it on your material.
This could come in handy for trim
@ Kanata, Ontario
Had to remove some old worn out concrete piers to replace with new ones in slightly different spots. Instead of digging them out came up with using falcons and a lever and then a jack. Work smarter not harder. @ Ottawa, Ontario
Another one ready to go! Let me know what you think!

This one should turn out pretty interesting! I really loved how the first cherry board turned out so I’m excited for this one.

This one was gone before it hit the market!
