This dam will enable our communities nearby to engage into irrigation farming and inpromove household food security in our Constituency.

RENOVATION PLANS SET FOR NAMANKWENGA BRIDGE IN PEMBA

Pemba Member of Parliament, Lameck Hamwata, has announced forthcoming plans to refurbish the long-neglected Namankwenga Bridge.

Hamwata acknowledged that while the initial proposal was to fund the rehabilitation through the 2022 Constituency Development Fund (CDF), a shortfall in the budget has delayed the process.

He has since secured additional funding to proceed with the repairs, confirming that all necessary resources have been gathered, leaving only the selection of a contractor pending.

Local resident Phigen Silungwa has called on the MP to honour his commitments and expedite the bridge’s renovation to prevent any complications that could arise with the onset of the upcoming rainy season.

With our team, we recently inspected and sensitized people on the importance of the projects being undertaken in the constituency.

We visited Hanyuta,Habulembo,and Hajamba dam which is 530 million liter water.

We also toured the construction site of Chief Moyo's palace ,Bbanga school project where a 1x3 classroom block is being constructed among others.

This is a very cardinal exercise in our energy sector for the growth of our economy.

Yesterday I took time to have lunch at Parliament Motel with our pupils from Muzoka Day Secondary School who scooped position No 1 in the TB National singing awareness competition.

This was to appreciate their good performance and for making not only my constituency proud but the province at large.

I take this opportunity to thank the sponsor USAID and many other sponsors who played a role that saw our wonderful pupils become victors.

I urban area brought in rural area.

I have been in the field the whole day giving out CDF loans and grants to the beneficiaries.

Today we conducted community service at Pemba Mini Hospital in celebration of our two (2) years in power.

We made a donation of blankets to the Newly opened hospital for our patients to use.

We also contributed k10,000 cash to our beloved sisters and brothers admitted at the hospital to help out themselves.

We are proud to have been joined by the officials from all 12 Wards to carry out this exercise and the interactions with ordinary members.

In our address, we highlighted some of the developmental projects we have done and still doing under CDF.

At least in each Wards of our Constituency, there is a community project taking place.
