While growing up my children performed in many different Christmas music recitals at school with the orchestral band, choir, and also with their piano teacher. Every year she would have a Christmas party for her students and everyone would perform for each other. Everyone is all grown up now...no more concerts to attend ...so I decided to share my own mini recital! :-) This is a medley of Christmas carols that tell the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. They are timeless classics that have been sung all around the world for many years. This is a cover of an arrangement that was performed by the late Kenny Rogers on one of his Christmas albums... hope you enjoy and Merry Christmas !
This song became the signature song in the Broadway show “Man of La Mancha” which opened in 1965 and ran for over 2,000 performances. I remember hearing it a a young child … my parents had the LP record and would often play it on their Zenith “Hi- Fi” system. The lyrics reverberated with me then and still do today ! 🎶
