On the heels of our headliner announcement, we’re not wasting any more time treating you all to some more juicy announcements, with gyrofield coming in next!

gyrofield has been making some serious waves in the past few years, coming up as one of the brightest shining stars in forward thinking experimental electronic dance music, and constantly pushing the boundaries of the drum & bass genre and beyond.

Not shying away from exploring different tempo’s and having released several techno, ambient & 140 tracks, it’s always exciting to see what gyrofield comes up with next. Their latest release on Overview, Evangelion for Beginners, being an incredible exploration through all the corners of drum & bass, opening the ears of all listeners to previously unexplored layers of the genre we all love so much.

We cannot wait to see what they’re going to bring to the table on the 14th of October but we’re positive that it’ll be a set to remember!

This is the first time we've ever made one of these and only 40 will ever be sold to the public.

Side A contains the full EP, with Side B containing 'Gospel of Rebuilding: A Mixtape' an exclusive 45 minute mix that is unique to this cassette.

New to Bassic - gyrofield

Hailing from Hong Kong and now living in Bristol, gyrofield is a young non binary musician discovering her own sound in electronic music.

Fusing influences of pop & rock music with underground dance styles – especially drum & bass – listeners can expect a dynamic and ever-changing musical output with different styles highlighted in each release.

gyrofield debuts on Critical Music next week with a brand new single, and also has past releases on Overview, DIVIDID, mau5trap and Pilot.

'Urgency' is the second half of my debut Critical Music release. It's spent years sitting on my hard drive before I decided to finish it.

I've come to gain a new appreciation of my forgotten ideas in this release, it is not exactly music from my current headspace and existence but it is still an expression of myself.
