Marites Valencia Odarbe

Marites Valencia Odarbe is an author, advocate, and mother. She graduated in 1992, but was later diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, a progressively degenerative movement disorder.

Despite having spent almost half of her life as a PWD, Ms. Odarbe redefined her struggle and persisted to serve.

She is currently the head of the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO) at the Local Government Unit of San Juan, Batangas.

Last November 14, she also released the audio book version of her 2015 book entitled Trust His Will, which tells her journey from being a Person with Disability (PWD) to a Person of Destiny (POD).
