Mental health and wellness is a process but it doesn’t have to be a grind or a chore. Start small, take a break and focus on something important and happy in your life, walk a dog, play a video game… there’s lots of simple activities and actions that you can do that are enjoyable AND support a happy sense of being.

As we kick off another fresh week, remember that it’s not just OK, it’s ENCOURAGED to prioritize yourself and your mental wellbeing. Take a step back and give yourself a moment to remind yourself that you’re awesome and everything is going to be Ok 😇 NAMI

The more receptive we are to the realities of mental health issues in our communities, the more empowered those affected will feel to get support and help through their struggle. NAMI

NAMI with an at home statistic… we’re equipping Coaches, parents and players with the tools they need through our curriculum and training programs to offset these factors. A happy and healthy life is the goal for all our young athletes!

No doubt about this final, it’s going the be FAST! Two teams that pushed through massive challenge to get to the dance, but it was more than just grit and skill. What does it really take to get to the Stanley Cup Finals?

There’s more to coaching than commitment and experience. Coaches need tools that help them understand the changing culture and generational uniqueness of the players they lead. Our Navigators program will teach coaches about players learning styles and the dynamics of youth development, not X’s and O’s

Early this fall we will be begin piloting our flagship Navigators Program! Focusing on education, training and support to drive healthy relationships and culture growth, Navigators bring a tangible system to the participants of our great game. The premier of “beyond their years” was an amazing experience! We had the opportunity to meet so many incredible people and listen to their stories of perseverance, community, and triumph. So much to share, but thank you ILA Creative Studio, LLC, The Carnegie Initiative, and the many others who were involved on this project 👏

Chicago friends! Are you a hockey player that’s played AAA, junior or college? We are FILMING for our Coaches Curriculum on February 13 from 10-3 on the southside of Chicago. We need 12 skaters and 2 goalies!

Sports are awesome. Some of our oldest friends are ones we made as kids playing hockey together! But the benefits go far beyond the friendships, we fit into the stats showcased today! Sports set the foundation for many of us stay physically healthy as adults, leading to more enjoyable experiences as we adventure through life.

The lessons we learned and relationships forged during our playing days has been the foundation for the creation of Survivors for Change. From life long friends who have supported us through the hard times, to cultivating new relationships and partnerships as professionals, sports laid the ground work of success for us.
