Yin & Yan continues to explore the theme of visually capturing the unseen energy, movement, life force and emotion beneath. In this work Lara utilise’s the symbol of a goldfish, who is swimming freely in harmony with life. Goldfish represent wealth, prosperity and abundance, a guiding omen for good fortune in life and love.

This stunning original artwork on canvas is from the Lara’s latest body of work created this year. The work captures the life force that bubbles and bursts invisibly all around us, and burns just as brightly in our body and minds even as we sit still; especially as we sit still. Celebrating our creative energy Lara’s paintings are a reminder that renewal is a constant available to all of us. Her signature organic motifs are conjured into shape with rope and other natural materials and rendered in swirls of ink up to 40 layers deep.

On the nose we find notes of banana, banana ice cream, vanilla, white and yellow flowers, almond flowers, green
almonds, cream, brioche, and patisserie, alongside elegant white and yellow fruits. On the palate, a smooth and
sweet start, with a long, dry, pungent finish and lingering pear note.

The recurrent light-hearted feeling, the absence of anguish, which can, arguably, reduce Develter to a "pop" or "glamorous", which others may refer to as a "fashion" painter..

Christian’s iconic works are symbolic of the joy that emanates from them, including that of his world acclaimed ‘Cigar’ Series’ comprising of both original oil on canvas works and his Limited Edition Archival Lithographs. This renowned body of work are housed in some of the most prestigious Cigar Clubs and Lounges around the world, including that of the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and the Raffles Hotel Phnom Penh. It is this Cigar Series which renowned cigar brand SIGLO has collaborated with Christian on to c reate their best-selling limited edition humidor collection. These unique handcrafted masterpieces are made from Spanish cedar wood finished with up to 15 layers of lacquer. What is admirable beyond the choice of Christian’s subjects, is precisely that stubbornness, which characterizes him, to be adamant in that hyper-finished, almost exaggerated style, specific to the make-up of dramatic stage and, of cinema as we know it between the nineteen thirties and the Nouvelle Vague.
