Fulltime result:

Sore one to take today for the lads after putting in a brilliant effort but unfortunately we didn't come away with the 3 points. Both teams had their chances in the game in what was a competitive match, however Claverhouse edged it in the end.

Today the Athletic came away with a hard fought draw in the end after coming back from 2 goals down to bring it back to 2-2.
First half the Harp played the better football and got two goals for their reward, but after recollecting at the half the lads came out and played brilliantly to bring it back to level, and in the end ran out of time looking for the winner.

On the 9th of September the Athletic have a slightly different game to usual. We will be taking on a Glasgow Caledonian University alumni XI in a game to raise money for SAMH who are fighting to end the stigma that sadly still surrounds men’s mental health.
This is a cause close to many people’s hearts, however it comes with particular significance for the University side. They sadly lost their friend and former teammate Jamie Shuttleworth to su***de after Jamie lost his lengthy battle with mental health. He was known to be a brilliant advocate of men talking about their mental health and this game has been organised in his name to remember him, whilst also raising money for a brilliant cause.
For anyone who would like to come and watch we will post the details closer to the time, and any donations you can make towards the fundraising page would be so greatly appreciated.

Yesterday seen the Athletic come away with all 3 points to put ourselves top of the table.
We took the lead first with Sean Cameron setting up Danny Mclennan who rolled it into the back of the net. We were pegged back to 1-1 with a goal against the run of play but the lads fought hard and took the lead again with a fine bit of flair from Danny Mclennan who played through Conar Tweed to find the back of the net.
Another great performance and on to next week❤️💙
Tonight seen the Athletic come away with a 2-2 draw with Tayside Fire Brigade.
First half seen us down 2 goals right away due to an error at the back for us and a very dubious offside decision not going our way.
We fought our way back into the game and brought it back to 2-2 before half time, with a raker from the gaffer Matt Smith and a stone wall penalty that was dispatched by Conor Tweed.
Great performance from the lads and onto the last game of the group Saturday💙❤
Yesterday's game seen the Athletic come away 9-1 winners against a depleted Cleppy side. Great result for our first game back after the break and although Cleppy were struggling for numbers their lads made a great effort.

Another pre season friendly done and dusted.
Athys started slow in tough conditions and went 1 nil down not long after we got level from the first of Dylan Reids 3 goals today the albion made the most of the conditions and bagged another 2 goals from some shifty play and a penalty from albions number 69 we once again picked up the play after a few subs and got another to make it 3-2 albion. Lochee once again got there 2 goal cushion back but the athys finished strong finishing the game 4-4
Massive respect to lochee albion for taking part in a minute silence before kick off and gifting ross flowers and a bottle of alcohol beforehand aswell all the boys appreciate and respect it massively all the best for the season ahead .
