I’m on the River Nile celebrating my 56th turn round the sun.

Came across this rainbow as we strolled across the river banks yesterday. Took this as a hopeful sign despite Ugandas passing of the anti homosexuality act, which is a big setback for my country. But it will be fought in the courts. Love will always conquer hate!

BIRO held its World Premiere at Uganda’s National Theatre in January 2003 where it was filmed in front of a live audience.

You are cordially invited to join me at The Uganda Museum this coming Sunday December 4th, 2022 from 2 - 5:30pm to see the “Uganda at 60” photographic exhibit, which features some of my photographic work alongside the work of the late great Kibaate Aloysius Ssalongo. Our work is part wide ranging exhibit featuring many notable Ugandan photographers from the time of Ugandas independence in 1962.

I am thrilled to announce that the late Kibaate Aloysius Ssalongo's photographic work will be part of the UGANDA at 60 exhibit at the Uganda Museum. The exhibit opens on Oct. 5th and runs till Dec. 31, 2022.
I have arranged to have Kibaate's family members in Mbirizi attend the opening reception, which we will document. For several of them it will mark their first trip to the capital city Kampala! More to come…

I shot these pics on my Sony A7siii with a 10mm Voigtlander lens. A strong gust of wind blew them both along with my tripod into the ocean. Miraculously the lens is still working fine. Verdict is still out on the camera on whether the camera can be repaired. Sensor and body remained dry but battery compartment and card reader slots were full of water…
