What is aspiration?

During certain filler techniques aspiration is used to check that we are not in a vein, capillary or artery. This is done my creating a vacuum with the syringe. ❤️

If the needle has hit any of the about the vacuum will draw some blood back into the needle. This is called a positive aspiration and your injector will know to remove the needle before injecting any filler in and go back in, in a different area. This process can help to reduce the risk of vascular occlusions! ❤️

Aspiration is never going to give 100% assurance due to many different factors so it is important to make sure your practitioner complications trained and confident in dealing with them! ❤️

Swelling and bruising is perfectly normal and to be expected, and will vary in degree from person to person and even treatment to treatment. The degree of swelling. And bruising can be affected by a number of things including pre and post treatment care. 💉

Remember it is likely you will want more than 1 treatment to achieve your desired look. 💋

If you are allergic to bee and wasp stings you are more likely to be allergic to our dissolving agent, hyaluronidase.

For elective dissolving there will always be a patch test to check this. However in emergency instances if dissolving is needed immediately, there may be no time for this. In these instances if a reaction were to occur to the dissolver, we have a full first aid kit and epipens on site 💛
