USAPANG REVIVAL

Question: Pastor ano po ba ang REVIVAL?

Answer: Marami kapatid ang pakahulugan dian ng mga Religious preachers. Sa iba ang ibig sabihin niyan is ”Bubuhayin ang mga namatay spiritually” kaya kailangan ng Revival. Pero sa atin ang ibig sabihin niyan is “Pagbabalik sa Una nating Pag-ibig sa Diyos.

Actually napakaraming Cristiyano ang nakikita natin sa loob ng simbahan na napakasipag sa gawain, napakatindi sa paglilingkod, yung iba nga ay malalakas pa ang Spiritual Gifts pero sa totoo lang ay wala namang Pag-ibig sa kung ano bang dahilan kung bakit nila ito ginagawa.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3
The Way of Love
[1] If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. [2] And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. [3] If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Revelation 2:2-4
[2] “‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. [3] I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name’s sake, and you have not grown weary. [4] But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.

Hindi nasusukat ang Revival sa kamatayang spiritual lang. Pwede rin i-consider ang panunumbalik sa tunay na dahilan kung bakit tayo nakakilala sa Panginoon.

May mas higit na mahalaga sa paglilingkod na ginagawa natin, hindi naman natin ini-invalidate ang mga matitindi ang naging sakripisyo sa ministry through works we are so much thankful for that. Kaya lang hindi maganda kung hindi natin ito ginagawa dahil sa Pag-ibig. Masarap maging bunga ang paggawa ng pag-ibig. Kagaya nalang ng istorya ni Martha at Mary.

Luke 10:41-42
[41] But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, [42] but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”

Mary chose the good portion. Ano yun? Yun yung manatili sa Presensya ng Diyos.

This is the Third Historic revival outpouring of the Holy Spirit that has taken place in Wilmore, KY at Asbury College & Seminary. The first was in 1950; the 2nd was in 1970, and the 3rd is occurring right now in 2023. And as the pattern of Classic Characteristics works, it spreads and is not contained to one location. And yes, there have also been shorter out breaks of Holy Spirit in the tiny manger of Willmore, KY in between. But these are the Big Three Historic Revivals.

Ponder with me for a moment. Does GOD remember what man forgets? Not far away in bluegrass state of Kentucky, the fields were set ablaze with the fire of God that put in motion the 2nd Great Awakening. Are we crossing the threshold into the authentic birthing of something more than some more anointed sustained meetings?
