Let me take this opportunity to thank my Boss, H.E. President William Samoei Ruto, for restoring the dignity of Eng. Michael Kamau.

A distinguished Public Servant who put in years of committed service to our great Nation of Kenya, he was persecuted and taken through hell by the very Government he had served.

For 8 years, the son of Kenya has not known peace and has been the subject of scorn and humiliation.

The appointment of Eng. Kamau to chair the board of the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) brings experience and efficiency to an institution critical in implementing the Kenya Kwanza Plan of realizing Universal Health Coverage for all Kenyans.

What a new year gift to the people of Kenya.

FREE PUBLIC Wi-Fi AT NYERI OPEN MARKET

This afternoon, in Nyeri town, I presided over the launch of a free Public WiFi Hotspot by the Government of Kenya to serve the residents and businesses in the town in our quest to power eCommerce.

This internet hotspot is a game-changer aimed at helping traders grow their businesses through e-commerce targeting market traders, food suppliers, and transporters.

The Nyeri internet hotspot project is part of the countywide planned hotspots that are geared towards H.E President William Samoei Ruto's Administration digital transformation.

The Kenya Kwanza Administration is prioritizing the internet to the citizens in line with our pledge for universal access interest.

The free internet hotspot will boost trade, and I call on traders and entrepreneurs to take advantage of the project as well as the Hustler Fund to boost your businesses.

The Israel Ambassador to Kenya H.E. Michael Lotem paid a courtesy call on me this morning at Harambee House Annex.

We discussed various issues, among them the drought situation in Kenya and areas of mutual collaboration between the Republic of Kenya and Israel, including Agriculture, Health, and Water.

Kenya and Israel have enjoyed strong, fruitful, and friendly relations over the years based on respect and trust.

The two nations have had a number of common and similar historical experiences and wishes to foster this into the future.

We will continue strengthening our bilateral cooperation for the good of our people and nations.
