1. The Pandemic Unemployment Compensation benefits have been providing $600/week to out of work Americans since April. This has been the sole lifeline to millions, keeping families out of poverty and keeping the economy running.

2. As the COVID19 pandemic enters its second wave, there’s simply no way the economy is going to go back to business as usual by the end of the month. The PUC benefits that are set to expire July 31st must be extended until at least January of next year!

3. 400,000 people in Pennsylvania alone have still not received their unemployment benefits. People are hurting. People are very concerned about their housing status. Some people are even going hungry. We need to be expanding and extending benefits right now, not cutting htem off!

4. These benefits are an important part of the economic stimulus which is keeping the economy afloat. Targeting stimulus to the unemployed gets money into the hands of people who will spend it and help the economy to recover.

Call to Bob Casey and Pat Toomey to extend Pandemic Unemployment Compensation!

Senator Casey: (215) 405-9660
Senator Toomey: (610) 434-1444
