Great design feature.

For gentle and economical pump operation some of our series are equipped with an electrode: the single-phase LB A- series as well as the three phase KTZE and KTVE series.

The length of the installed electrode sensors is adjustable. Part of the automatic operational control is a time relay.

And that´s how the automatic electrode control works: the pump will operate as long as the electrode is in contact with water. If the water level decreases a timer will clock one minute. If the electrode does not touch water within one minute, the pump will stop running. Upon contact with water the pump will resume operation.

A flatfish farm was looking for circulation pumps that could be operated in their breeding tanks that contained seawater. The farm had tried other manufacturers before without success.

We recommended our titan submersible pump of the TM series that had been developed specifically for seawater applications. The choice was made in favour of 50TM2.4. The customer was happy with the solution since our 50TM2.4 can easily deal with seawater while providing the power required and a long lifetime.

2 units of our KTVE dewatering with were chosen to drain roadside gutters of abnormally high runoff caused by an unusual increase in seasonal in recent years. When the water level in the gutter rises, electrodes are touched by water and the first pump starts up. If it rises further, the second pump kicks in as a backup to promptly drain the gutter. One of which was fitted with an extension (optional accessory), so that the operating water level of pumps can be varied, and easily respond to abnormally high water levels.
