Bea's Fancy Farm

Bea's Fancy Farm

A place for us to share our honey, jellies, and other delectables. Because everything is just a little better when it's fancy.

Three years ago we started canning our fruit and vegetables from our garden, and someday I knew I wanted to own a farm... However, I didn't want it to be any farm, I wanted it to be a fancy farm.

I made some chocolate creamed honey for us. Put it in some ice cream or in your coffee for a sweet treat, and of course on warm sourdough or toast. Yay or nay to the chocolate? I do love the cinnamon. I just wanted to try something different!

What’s going on with the bees? One of the St. Charles hives has given us a lot of honey, but alas has swarmed. We saved some brood (babies) and bought a new queen and we are starting over. I’m not too sad since they are the ones that for me last weekend. Our Williamsburg bees are probably the most docile bees I’ve ever had. And the other St. Charles hives are doing really well which means a lot of honey!!!! These ladies are working their stingers off!

I just wanted to drop a thank you to everyone who follows our little Bea’s Fancy Farm. We are so lucky to have so many amazing people in our circle. 2023 was more honey that we’ve ever had and sold, we attempted a vendor fair where we sold out of a lot of items and much like the bees, we will taking a little break from honey. However, my dad has his maple syrup evaporator ready to go😂😂 Without all of you, none of this would be possible. I’ll update you in the bees (we checked on them today and they are staying warm in the hive), and anything cool they are doing. Right now, it’s eating honey and staying warm! Have a wonderful start to your 2024!!!

My dad and I will be at here all day Saturday. Come visit us, try some honey (and maybe some sourdough), and see all of the other amazing vendors!

Do you like light, medium or dark? I love cooking with the dark honey, and love putting the medium or light in my coffee and tea. Either way they are all sweet!!!

If a bear just isn’t enough and you need more of the sweet stuff, we are now selling quarts of honey for 30 dollars a piece! The ladies continue to produce. Thanks again for all your support!

I’ve been waiting for these lovely bars of soap to finish. They have honey and beeswax from our hives, and oatmeal for exfoliation. Each bar is $5. I’m excited to put these out into the world.

19/03/2023

It’s finally here! After many tree tappings and boilings and sugaring my dad’s hard work has paid off. Honey won’t be ready until late May (and those bees are working), but the maple syrup is ready to go! 8oz bottles are $10 and 12oz bottles are $12. This stuff is like gold in our house!!

Anyone want to guess what my dad has cooking up next? Super excited!!!

Just some light reading today! Had to set some reading goals. I get most of my seeds from Baker Creek which is actually located in Mansfield, MO. Their seed catalog is so legit! They give you the history of the plant and where it came from. I love it! And I’m finishing this gem. It’s true crime nonfiction. It deals with the Golden State Killer and it deals with DNA and genealogy to solve crimes (which I love). For those of you who don’t know, my day job is a school librarian, so I do a lot of reading and researching.
Have a wonderful New Year’s weekend! We will spending ours at the farm!

If you need a last minute stocking stuffer, lip balms and lotion bars are great. Made with beeswax from our hives, they moisturize and protect your skin and lips! It’s all Emma uses, and I am constantly making more for her!
Lip balms come in vanilla ice cream, lavender, mint-lavender, peppermint and sweet orange.
Lotion bars come in lavender and eucalyptus. Any combination works!

If you need a Christmas gift idea, let us know how we can help! We still have honey and creamed honey available, as well as jams, lotion bars and lip balms. All orders can be available for pick up next week!

19/09/2022

We finally had plenty of jalapeños to candy them up! I love these babies. I put them in and on everything. Last week we made chili and nachos and I threw some in both. That sweet and spicy kick is a great addition to so many recipes!

Honey Orders 29/07/2022

Hello BEE-autiful people. If you need honey, jam, bread, or even lip balms or lotion bars, here is our order form. Our backyard bees have had a wonderful summer so far, and have created a lot of delicious honey. I also added some newly made jams, and of course you can always order up a sourdough bread. I've been on a sourdough kick lately. With all of the delicious homegrown tomatoes around, I've made a tomato sandwich almost every day for lunch. Feel free to reach out if you every need anything!

Thank you to all of you who stop by our little page! Bea’s Fancy Farm would exist without you! Our little venture has been a definite learning experience and a lot of fun. One of my favorite parts (besides learning about the bees) has been meeting and chatting with a lot of you (not that anyone is shocked that I like to talk). We are almost out of honey and creamed honey, but have no fear because we will have more at the end of July. Our ladies have been busy!!! And hopefully the garden will work equally as hard and we will have some candied jalapeños soon!
So welcome to all of our new people and a shout out to those that have been here awhile! We are so thankful to all of you!
