Day 01, Ride for Remembrance 2024.
We begin at the Embarkation Memorial, Plymouth.
Memorial in the area where the men of the V & VII Corps of the United Stated Army left for the beaches of Normandy in 1944. Twelve granite pillars in fan formation

Day 26.
Gav Tuach has unfortunately had to tap out. Injury and a trip to A&E. Disappointed is an understatement.

But, the challenge goes on. Spence, serving is going strong with his weighted 10km and Hayley Jane Tuach has donned the 20kg vest and finishing off yesterdays km's that Gav couldn't get done.

We've also had other friends and family come forward to say they will complete the days that Gav cannot. So the challenge and Fundraiser for and continues.

In the last 10 days I've ran 100km in 10 days whilst wearing a 20kg vest.

The vest is to signify the weight someone may feel on their shoulders when facing their own mental health challenges

The idea behind this Year's design.

To commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic this design shows the Sea with Poppy Wreath within to signify those lives lost and lie beneath the water.

In a memorial service at sea, the wreath is lowered to the water and set adrift.

During the Battle of the Atlantic there were 72,000 Allied deaths and 30,000 Germans.
