7 years ago on this day, Rana Plaza collapsed in Bangladesh killing over a thousand workers. Things may have improved in terms of working conditions for workers but there is still lack of accountability from brands.

Even today, clothing brands such as Gap and Primark are not paying up for orders and millions of garment workers are going hungry amidst this pandemic and may not even survive.

Our sweaters are made in our own factories. By controlling the entire supply chain, we can cut out middle men and price our products fairly, unlike the insane mark-up you see in traditional retail.

Thank you to for these beautiful illustrations! :)

"A survey of 319 garment factory owners in Bangladesh conducted by the Center for Global Workersโ€™ Rights between March 21 and 25, revealed that when cancelling orders, over 72% of buyers refused to pay for raw materials (fabric, etc.) already purchased by the supplier. Over 91% of buyers refused to pay for the cut make-trim cost (production cost) of the supplier. As a result of order cancellations and lack of payment, 58% of factories surveyed report having to shut down most or all of their operations."

The jacquard flatbed knitting machine is where all the magic happens. Computer programmed designs are fed into the system and the sweater panels are automatically knitted.
The process following this is linking, where all the panels are joined together to make a completed garment.

Each sweater goes through a washing cycle that removes the coarseness of the yarn. The end result is a cashmere sweater that feels as soft as clouds.

To ensure that the waste water does not harm the environment, it is passed through an effluent treatment plant where it is cleaned and reused.
